I wanted to know what you thought of me using a mordor troll for an ogre tyrant. Obviously some converting would be needed by adding ogre armour and such. What do you think of my idea and what else i could add to make it look more ogrish.

A nose and mustache (fumanchu of course).

A tummy and gnoblars.

Could be doable as long as the head is of comparible size, in my opinion.

Do you think it would be worth changing his arms as a troll has three fingers and ogres have five?

Whats wrong with the tyrant? If youre going to have to "Add armor" and other conversions I dont see the attraction. The current tyrant model is great

Depending on the model, I think it could work! LOTR features tend to be more "slender" from what I've seen, but the size might be about right. A head swap would help it out, and as someone said above the gut probably needs to be a bit bigger to blend in with those fat ogres along with a "gut shield" for whatever reason the ogres have them!

Would be great to see side-by-side pics, my search-fu is weak at the moment it seems...

Rtides, if you read the ogre fluff you see that ogres are not fat at all!!!

Their guts are layers and layers of muscle!

The mordor troll is a little hunched over, but with a Greenstuffed Gutplate and paunch it could work. the height is good.


the only problem is the Troll won't fit very well on a 40mm base.

Or the less armoured version the kit can make.

Troll is a little bigger as he's on a 60mm base there while the Ogre Tyrant is on a 40mm one.
He'll probably fit on the 40mm base though and it would probably look awesome as well.

Unless you meant the Cave Troll instead.

However, I don't think the cave troll is a good fit, having seen it in person at mikhaila's auction next to the ogre tyrant that I ended up with the winning bid for . He is a bit too weedy :-/

Those top two trolls might work, though!
