The strat is simple be fast and aggressive early so you can take a flank hard and cause crumble. Also up for improvement/ alterations as need be.

Hmm I'd get rid of the clanrats and 1 unit of stormvermin for slave units. could be very useful. You could then get a warp lightning cannon and/or a BSB with left over points

My only issue with that is loosing the unit pushing the bell

Oh I assumed that the stormvermin were pushing the bell. Well you could instead remove both stormvermin for a boatload of slaves and a 2nd doomwheel or a cannon and/or a BSB

BSB is required in a Skaven army. I would also dump one unit of Stormvermin for all kinds of things and replace it with 2x as many slaves.

Slaves can be shot into while in CC, slaves are dirt cheap and can survive forever on rank bonus and enginerd leading them.

Cannons are awesome, I would also punch up the army with some mortars but really weapon team of any sort is good.

So really the swap is simple:
Drop: 40x Stormvermin = 345

Add: 2x Mortar =130
1x Cannon = 90
1x BSB+ hand weapon = 72
25x slaves with muscian = 52
Total = 344

Now I would make the slaves unit bigger but that would take more working of the list... This is why Stormvermin are highly desired but rarely used, because for their points you can do sooooooooo much more. But meh play the list WITH A BSB, and see how it goes and go from there. Realize 1 cannon is 45 slaves, 1 mortar is 32 slaves... Must get more slaves... or go to 3000 points... muahahahahah must get more ratses!

To increase numbers of slaves, you could ditch the shields on the stormvermin still there. Thats like an extra 20 bodies!

My question is to why everyone likes slaves? I used them in a previous list and they ran form 5 archers. But I can see where the cannon and BSB would be nice now

They ran from 5 archers? How many were left? With sufficient ranks and near the general, you ought to be LD 10. Re-rollable with a BSB...

Definitely drop one or both of the Stormvermin. It's a 2500 point list and you only have 4 rank and file units. You should have many more than this. Outnumbering the enemy units is a must. And I agree with everyone else about the BSB. Absolutely essential for Skaven. Try more units of clanrats or a unit of slaves. I never take more than one unit of slaves though.

Why do I roll five 1's way more than I roll five 6's?

Slaves are good becuase they are one of the cheapest pointwise units ever! And have no limit! so only having slave core isnt a bad idea for lists without weapon teams or bells to push becuase you'll match the enemy easily with several 50 man blocks that still cost cheaper than core they go up against. Coupled with shooting into combat and you got a nasty tarpitter that doesnt care for a WLC or Doomwheel hits them and makes good anchors for ogres or HPA to smash into.

Well the poster above is close... and dead on about a number of them Let me run the list why slaves are the best unit in WHFB:

1) They are 2 points per.
2) They are 2 points per.
3) They only require a musician and 2 points per.
4) Clanrats are 2x the cost.
5) Stormvermin are 3.5x the cost.
6) They occupy all your core needs, so you can get cheesy stuffs and have more than enough block units.
7) They can be shot into.
8) They explode wonderfully.
9) Steadfast
10) BSB and Generals that are close but not too close.
11) They die just about the same as Clanrats and Stormvermin for WAY less points.
12) For 15 pt. warlock they have the same LD as Clanrats and Stormvermin, and when he gets kicked to the back... they still have a 5.
13) When you accept the challenge and your warlock gets beat like Rodney King your slaves go tact. nuke on them all your choice.
14) Did I mention they are 2 points per model?
15) Cause a 200 man block of anything makes people crap themselves.
16) Because of the new shooting rules things with templates do not random... aka WLC, Mortar, Warpfire, Death Globe, Brass Orb, Catapults, etc.
17) They do not cause panic checks when they go poof assuming you placed them correctly.
18) Cause Doomwheels look good next to them and I promise you won't miss the 6 points.
19) Cause there is no other model in the game that gets a ward under any circumstances for 2.5 points per.
20) Cause when you skitterleap the assassin outta your unit pushing the bell and have him charge units in the rump supported by Gutter Runners your whiskers feel funny.
21) Did I mention they are the same toughness as almost everything else at only 2 points a model?

I think you forgot to mention their cheap price.

OP: As long as the slave units are 40+ with musician you should be fine. Shields as a possible extra.

Also, Grey Seers start with D3 warpstone tokens, there is no reason to pay the 30 points. That's almost a huge unit of slaves right there.

you can also get wizards hat for you grey seer since he has 100 points of magic items to use up and because of wizards hat is you get a level 2 and any lore. Take lore of life and first do throne of vines the flesh to stone. TOUGHNESS 7 SLAVES!!!!!!!!!!!!. If you take another lore i would take shadow becaus if you have 50 of them you will be having LD 10 slaves and if you get the mindrazor one and you change the other one into the signature spell you first do the signature spell and make it the mmore powerfull one and then do the mindrazor one. say they are fighting a oger unit I think there initiave is 3 so you roll a d3 and the is what you take away from there I,WS,BS and movement. your slaves will be hitting first on 3s then wounding them on 2s since there strenght is there LD that would be some dead oger since 50 slaves are horded.
