Yes yes. No chance in hell winning with Static Tau because a bunch of people play in Tournements and I don't. Anyways, a Friend has been using his version of 5th edition nidzilla since the new nids came out. Because We've both been busy with work, we haven't played in a while so I don't remember the upgrades on the squads fully.

Yes I shamelessly named my Shas'O after my Username on the 40k Forums.

His tactics: Move everything at the enemy, save a squad of warriors sitting on his Objective. Same thing he does to everyone with great success

My tactics: Shoot the biggest, closest thing with every bloody gun I got. Put a Squad of Fire Warriors in the Devilfish and run to the enemy Objective. Play not to win, but to put off losing until it hurts less. Same thing I do with everyone with much less Success.

Any help other than " mech up because that's how we do it in Tournements" will be appreciated. No one around here mechs up ( well one guy, and he plays Thousand Sons. And the Imperial Guard Player does, but it's Guard, of course Meching up will happen.) And I'm not shelling on my next paycheck for 3 days of cursing out plastic putting the bloody things together.

I Don't like putting together the Tau Vehicles.

EDIT: I'm not trying to come off angry, but too many times on with these threads, the posts are usually:

2. ?????
3. Profit!

And I don't like putting vehicles together.

Play your Reserves strategically (it gives you "mobility" to come in where you please.), run as much Plasma in your list as possible, and keep your guys spaced out enough to deny him much gain with the Mawloc.

That's really about all you need.

one of the problems with tau is not enough low ap ranged weaponry. broadsides are good against this stuff. lots of pulse rifles might work. idk otherwise.
