I'm new to gaming side of WHFB. and i wanna create a List where i could practice and learn more about the game and probably tune it later on to be more competitive.
base on what I readed on different articles and some of the info here

if possible i wanna stick to the current models i have
Currently what i have is 2 sets Iob Elves, Battlion (new 1 w/chariot) ,Spearmen Box,Prince on dragon, 4 mages. 1 Box of Noble/Bsb, 3 other Metal Hero

this is what i came up to.

1 RBT @ 100 (WM in 1kpt army seems a good idea)
or
2Eagles @ 100 (Don't have the model for it)


Though I'm somewhat basing the list on how I like the looks of the model(except the spearmen hehehe no choice or might sub it in for LSG models) and not very fond of the looks of the eagle (but i might just convert the Griffon from IoB to stand in for it)

other models i want to fit in though seems impossible are Phoenix guards.

feel free to criticise and bash it(if you want).

take the 2 eagles instead of the bolt thrower. LSG are too pricey.

Get your hands on the old PG if you know whats good for you.

I meant using the LSG models but it still counts as Spearmen

Yeah looking for about 20-40 of those Recent metal models incase i fail. I'll go with the plastic but with the converted head of Lord of Slaanesh(Spartan) and duplicate it by casting

hush hush on the casting bit. Let me know if you need help on that topic as I do it myself but we don't discuss less than legal manufacturing here on dakka. I'd recommend the spartan heads from scibor minis.

yaeh i was reading the your thread w/ Blackhands very very helpful. (ooh i thought its ok cast if its just for my self and not selling it and modifying the actual bit just using it as a basis).

yeah i saw the scibor spartan heads though i kinda prefer the maxmini (except it has skulls in it thats why I'm settling down on the slaanesh 1 too bad gw don't sell single bitz anymore)

personal use recasting is still IP infringement and thus illegal. There was some schmuck trying to argue with me on it in the warhammer forum.

my PGs will be headless for along time. hahahaha

I tried that and decided that illegal recasts were better off than my poor poor sculpting skill.

I'll just heavily modify it i'm planning on putting a wing on it similiar position as the Metal PG + additional embossed detail maybe.
we already flew OOT hahahahaha though i learned alot.

back on topic: Phoenix Guard are easily the single best all around unit High Elves have access to. I'd take them over SM any day.

in my 1 k list if i drop the Sm for Pgs i will loose my hammer(killer unit or is there any alternative) or is PGs Can be a Hammer?

They are more of an anvil unit really. WS5 S4 but with 5+Sv and 4+Ward. They do cause fear however.

Much harder to kill than elves with Ws6 S5
