I was having lunch at work and I thought "Hey! I bet I could make some cool scenery out of that drink tray!"



Now I can probably make a cool bunker or make a section of interesting wall with this, but then I thought dakka might be able to come up with more interesting ideas!

So dakka...let me hear your scenery ideas for this drink tray. Feel free to post pics of scenery you already made with a drink tray or join in on the challenge. I'll be posting mine later once I've decided on a design.

Very tiny volcanos?

You could chop the 4 sections off, and make them into pill boxes. With some little work they could look really cool. Which leave the center section. Id say add stuff and make it a mound of some kind, or flip it over, add some puddy and make a crater from it

i was actually thinking of cutting it in half and cutting out the bottoms. Then I can put them horizontally and with some extra materials turn them into giant air-vents coming from some kind of underground base. I need more impassable terrain

I would most likely trim the lip for a start so it has a somewhat smooth transition to the table.

But the most basic thing i can see from that is a set of bunkers. Lift it up place the models underneath and there ya go. Obviously having it painted would look better.

Could also make a small flag in the middle and use it as an objective.

Punch a hole in the middle of the dinks bits and make magma/water/slime vents

I can see that becoming a quad missile silo with control radar / antennae in the center.

I can see it clearly since I made one like that for a friend

Perhaps I should get more drink trays with all these suggestions!

i´d use it to built a reactor. with cool glow effects. a big humming hightech energy producing facility. could be a strategic point then...

Need more vespene gas. (expanding on the volcano idea)

or perhaps tyranid birthing chambers?
