I just wanted to say hello to everyone at Dakka - literally just recently started up a profile here although I've kind of been an unofficial attendee for a little while now. My girlfriend (apple of my eye, one and only, light of my life and all that jazz) got me into painting models very recently and since I picked up a brush I've been checking these forums out over her shoulder. So I thought it was about time I got off my lazy ass and actually make an account to post some pictures of my models, get some feedback and generally shoot the breeze about movies, games and the gym (I hear there is a pretty good fitness thread somewhere in these here forums). I am a literal newcomer when it comes to Warhammer stuff, up until a month or so ago I hadn't touched a model or read anything about them. I'm also very keen to get feedback on how I'm doing with some of my stuff and vice versa.

I'm less interested in the tabletop gaming side of things at the moment, although I am learning some of the basics. My main interest is the painting aspect, there is something really satisfying about assembling a little blank canvas of a model and then painting it up. The lore also seems really interesting from what I've seen and read so far too (I'm a sucker for a good mythology). I'm still undecided as to whether I prefer 40k or Fantasy, although that Warhammer Forge stuff looks incredible as far as painting potential goes.

Outside of Warhammer - I'm a pretty avid gamer, mostly on a console or two. I'm currently nurturing a goal to go from 15k gamerscore to 20k before Christmas, if that is, I can tear myself away from Fallout New Vegas enough to play any other games between now and Dec. I also love movies and really good TV shows; nothing quite as awesome as a good cup of coffee and watching something awesome. I think I've rambled enough now, if you managed to get through this wall of text, then you are extra special and fantastic
