Subject: 1700 CSM "Invulnerable"?

I haven't played the game in over two years now and I am looking to sell most of my stuff. I've put a lot of time into the various Obliterators and if I keep one army, they would be in it. So I was wondering if a +2/+5 army is at all viable in 40k these days? Something like the old Nurglewing, but with lots of Obliterators? Say:
HQ - Termie Lord with Termie escort - about 400
E - 6 Termies - 215
T - 6 CSMs with Icon in a Rhino - 185
T - 6 CSMs with Icon in a Rhino - 185
HS - 3 Obliterators - 225
HS - 3 Obliterators - 225
Fill out the rest with Daemons, maybe some more Obliterators.
Something like this going to win any games?

Nowadays the best units for chaos are generally Plague Marines for troops, Daemon Princes for HQ, Obliterators for heavy, and possibly small terminator units with combi meltas for elites. If you made the CSM into plague marines and split the 6 elite termies up into 2 small units for anti-tank, you'd have a pretty solid list in my opinion. As is though, it's still pretty good.

Well, two Rhinos ask for getting smoked early in the game.
Plain CSM units are a waste of points.

Hmmm, the only reason I had the Rhinos was to scoot them up the battlefield so any daemons coming in didn't have to slog it up the battlefield, and to protect the CSMs from fire the first couple rounds. Truth is, if I didn't have any vehicles that would probably be better for my personal tastes.

I agree with the above statement, if your only going to take two 6 man squads as your troop choices they should definitely be nurgle marines.

Oblits are good- but not an excuse to completely gimp the rest of your list. At T4 remember they get insta killed by missile launchers and other S8 weapons (with all the ML and PF spam these days they always seem to drop too fast for 225 pts)

Thanks for the comments. Here's something a little more specific:
HQ - Daemon Prince + Wings = 130
E - 3 Termies + 3 Combi-Weapons = 120
E - 6 Termies + Reaper Autocannon + Power Fist + Lightning Claws + Lightning Claws + Icon of Chaos Grace = 245
T - 7 Plague Marines + 2 Plasma Guns = 191
T - 7 Plague Marines + 2 Plasma Guns = 191
DP - 13 Daemons = 169
DP - 13 Daemons = 169
HS - 2 Obliterators = 150
HS - 2 Obliterators = 150
HS - 2 Obliterators = 150
35 points to play with, Icons, etc. Possibly Warptime on the DP.
I realize the Oblits are easy targets for S8 weapons, but the are supposed to be the centre piece.

List seems decent enough; but watch posting point values online.
I thought we were allowed to post the point totals of complete squads as long as we didn't post wargear totals, etc.?

Take the Daemons out.

The Daemons can do fine if you can manage to bring them down close to the enemy.
But you have a delivery problem so that I also opt for taking them out.
