The epic sword-metal ballad WARMACHINE is now available to download from Xbox Live for Rock Band and Rock Band 2 via the Rock Band Network!
Written by Penny Arcade’s own Jerry “Tycho” Holkins, composed and authored by Harmonix Indie-Pop band The Main Drag and performed by the Penny Arcade Band “The Sex Generals”, the song brings the full-metal-fantasy world of WARMACHINE to a whole new medium – Rock Band!
Check out the face-melting sounds below or visit: http://soundcloud.com/penny-arcade/war-machine

All proceeds earned from sales of the WARMACHINE song will be donated to Child’s Play, a non-profit charity that donates games, toys, and movies to sick children in hospitals around the world. For more information on Child’s Play visit their website at www.childsplaycharity.org.

Haven't listened to the song yet (at work, no speakers), but I think the lyrics demonstrate rather well why you should never let Tycho write songs...

It is also meant solely as an excuse to get gamers ( PP fans in particular) to donate money to a children's charity...
The quality of the song is irrelevant.

You're right.
Though, it really isn't very good...

Yeah, never really had any expectations of it being good from the moment PA announced they were auctioning off the song. Tycho's a good cartoonist and all, but he's a bit.... wordy for a song writer, and his singing voice is a wee bit lacking...
Still, good cause and all, and it should be amusing to watch several of my more vocally challenged friends pull that warbling off in rock band.
