The cool dudes over at Warcamel.com have set up their second Rogue Trader style event and it will commence on the 29th of October. Their first Rogue Trader was a success with over 20 players participating and they anticipate over 50 will come for the second version as they have added Warhammer Fantasy to the event (first event was 40k only).

If anyone on Dakka has an unfortunate business trip to Dubai on the 29th for some reason here are the details

Even though I'm not attending, seeing Warhammer flourish in my home region brings a tear to my eye. I will follow the tournament closely.

i have to say i'm surprised that its sold/marketed in that region with all the christian references in both 40k and fantasy as well as the demonic elements. i wish them well and good gaming!

Really the game isn't very "christian" per se. There aren't any crucifixes or anything that would strongly indicate that.

The only restriction is that they don't sell nude models like Dark Elf Harpies.

And it's not really marketed in the region. Only a couple of stores and some clubs at the grassroots level but I got to hand it to Trevor and Oliver (The TOs), these two guys moved to Dubai about two years ago and they've set up a tourney with 50+ players in a region with virtually zero tabletop gaming infrastructure.

Kudos to them.
