I've just tried to upload pictures in the painting and modelling section and all seemed to go ok, but they or the edited message have not appeared. What have I done wrong? Managed to do it now!

are they appearing on the editing page as blank on both options? if so, your camera (much like mine) takes pics in a format that dakka doesn't recognize as a standard file format. try opening one of the pics with microsoft paint and then saving it right away (try both as the same file and "save as" a new file). if that fixes the problem, you'll have to use an editing program like MS paint or GIMP to resave them in a format dakka recognizes as blessed by the machine god.
