A few weeks ago in an email Mike McVey told me he would be having a new line launched soon that would be a 30mm sci-fi game. Not hearing anything further on it I personally stayed attuned for anything the regarded it. Well the cats finally out of the bag and he has started posting about it. I for one am extremely excited about this. Here is a link to his blog: http://studiomcvey.blogspot.com/2010/10/what-kara-did-next.html .

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Models look nice but they'll have to work on price if they want to sell a great number..

These and all the other great sci-fi infantry lines will sell alot when the independant 40K tournaments get rid of the Citadel only rule.

Not at $20/model.

The $20.00 a model ones are going to be resin, and then their will be the cheaper metal models. The resins are being cast for the painters in mind not for playing with them. He will cast the exact thing in metal too for those who want to play with them.

Is this something actually in the works?...it would be great but I have a hard time picturing GW actually sanctioning use of someone elses products.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too

Why does an independant tournament need GW sanctioning? They have proven they can bring in the customers. Raise the prices by 5 dollars to pay for prizes.

Big Hint here....GW hates tournaments and running active events. They prefer soft events ( Hey show up at our stores to play in the Battle for Armageddon, where we'll fudge the results so no one really wins).

I think if indy tournaments got rid of the citadel only rule, and people went out and bought other company's models, it would force GW to become competitive ie. lower prices.

They're available at my local FLGS, they're real nice in the flesh. The McVeys live somewhere just outside of Sheffield.

I'll be picking up some of these for model replacements in 40k, and other skirmish games like AE-Bounty.
