I was experimenting with SM jump pack jets and trying to make it look like they are glowing with energy, but I'm not too happy with them. Ended up painting the jets black again so I can start over - any tips? I figured it would just be a series of highlights, but it didn't really turn out that well.

I used a progression of Hawk Turquoise to Ice Blue to White with some 50/50's in between - but like I said, looked kind of goofy and stuck out way too much (I do Blood Angels)

Tips would be appreciated
Thanks

I don't think jump packs glow with energy, dude.

But if you want this look you should try wet-blending in a series of shades, it will probably take forever though.

Or maybe look at one of the power sword tutorials for glowing power weapons

Okay cool thanks.

And I mean the Assault Troop jump packs, they have those two jets in the back - figured they make glow with plasma energy or heat (just the t wo little circles, not the whole thing)

Its piss easy... just start with a dark blue and higlight up to white. Then paint quite large bits of white in the middle recess.

In your thread, trolling.

I did pretty much the same thing with my Blood Angels, and it worked. Have you ever played Dawn of War 2? I based my paint scheme off of that.
