A couple things came up the other night.
1) if you have a character on a large base, a slann for example, and he makes his 'look out sir!' roll vs. a rock lobber, does he get replaced with 1 model or do you replace the size of his base (in this case 4 models) to resolve the shooting attack?
2) A character in on the right front corner of a block of infantry wants to shift to the left front corner. Can he do this in the course of a normal move by the block?

As for 1), I do believe that if the"Look out Sir!" roll was successful you'd only remove one model.

for 2) I think that the character is free to shift within the unit as he pleases, so long as he stays in the front rank.

Haven't got the BRB on me though to quote rules so this is off the top of my head.

1: One model only.

2: As for now it's no rules that allow a character (or champion) to switch places in the front rank.
But you can reform and swap them around.

1) one hit, one model is replaced. Otherwise you would be adding numbers of hits to the unit.
2) as above

I may just be thinking of in CC where a character can move around. My bad guys =)

Yes, I only recently realized the "no moving character without a reform during the movement phase" myself. It's not as limiting as it was in 7th, given the Make Way rule, but it still is something to think about...
