Wutsup guys!? So yea obviously im new here, and to the entire 40k community. I plan on start my own army soon, and while doing a little research on the internet i stumbled upon vast forum of information. I have to admit its a bit overwhelming at first, there is so much info on this site, let alone the rest of the web, so i thought id introduce myself, and also get some feedback and opinions on where a good starting point would be for a newbie like me. I am leaning towards Space Marines, Blood Angels in particular. I like there overall look and design and seem like a pretty good choice from a tactical stand point. I started building a basic Space Marine squad about 10 years ago, but after college started it all kind of got pushed to the side. But now ive got some free time on my hands again and look forward to get back into the world of Warhammer. Any tips/suggestions on army selection or where to get started would be much appreciated.

best place to start, I think, is get a rule book & codex. you could look into the Assault on Black Reach box, too, especially if you can get a friend to split the cost with you & take the Ork models.

there's a veritable cornucopia of great information here on dakka dakka, so start searching threads & articles to you heart's content. I'm sure you'll find some inspiration! have fun getting back into the hobby...

Marines are always a good place to start. They're in Black Reach, the Batallion Box plus said Black Reach gives you a large well rounded army, and most players know the army well enough to help you out. Good luck!
