Pirates.
Love 'em or hate 'em. I want an army of them.
I'm a big fan of Skaven, and originally planned to do a converted Skryre theme, but now I'm toying with the idea of pirates. As in, Free Company, human pirates.
Lots of Engineers as the Swashbucklers themselves, wielding rifles and swords and all of that. Main Lord Warlord would be the Sargossa pirate. Blocks of men towing cannons and giant cannons as the main point of contention. Oh, and a Kraken as a hellpit abomination.
The theme is easy to convey and most of all fun, but now I'm torn between the idea. Do I counts as, or stick witht he original plan of Skryre?
Pirates
Pros: Cool models
Great conversion opportunity
Decently original
Cons: Counts as
Skryre
Pros: Great conversion opportunity
Fun to do the techy thing I've sorely missed in the Ork world
Cons: Not original at all
(The reason this is in the P&M blogs is that I'll post my progress here with whatever you guys help me decide.

)
Any input? Ideas? I'm leaning towards the pirate theme, but I dont want to do it if there'll be any problems doing it.
Thank you!
