I am a new player to the 40k universe. I have done plenty
research into painting my army (my choice was crimson fists

)
and not enough time making a tournament ready army. I
have just purchased a space marine battle force, A box
of sniper scouts and I have the space marines from the
black reach. I need a little insight to what works and
doesn't work for space marines. Money is no problem
for me. I have a steady cash stream. My goal is to have
a 1000 army for small matches and 1500 for bigger matches.
any tips, pointers , helpful advice ?

My concerns : Scout squad : shotguns ? weapons ?

Army contents so far :
1. Space Marine Captain
2. Tactical squad of 10 Marines (x2)
3. Terminator squad
4. Dreadnought w/ Mult. Melta & w/ Storm bolter
5. Space Marine Combat squad
6. Space Marine scout squad
7. Space Assault squad
8. Space Marine Rhino transport
9. Pedro Kantor ( HQ )
10. Thunder fire cannon
11. Sniper scout squads

P.s Any tips for fighting an ork player ?

Welcome to dak dak¡ As for an army list at those point levels try the Army List and Tactics section of the forum as you will get better help there. For fighting orks try flamers and blast templates. Lots of shooting and keep them away until you know you can finish them off in HtH.
