What if the Tau had a civil war i mean Sept vs Sept , Kroot vs Vespid , Fire warrior vs crises battle suit! but what in your opinon would happen.

The fire caste would kick the @$$3$$ of the others just because of brute strength,then,the imperium would swoop in allong with the others and take advantage of thier weakness to massacre the tau,finally crossing them off the emperors "to do list"

They need each other, more than any other race and they don't have an Inquisition to care for such issues before this gets too far.

Yep, already described what would happen. The Tau Empire would completely collapse, and the Imperium would sweep in to finally 'liberate*' all the humans trapped within the Empire. The Tau were going to wipe themselves out in the first Mon'Tau....if they have a second one with the Imperium looming over them? Poof! Good bye blue skinned anime fan space commies!

*After liberation, all xenos tainted humans will be executed by the Inquisition.

Would the imperium even need to fight? I'd imagine there'd almost no one left and man would just need to plant a flag.

The Imperium has never been exactly....patient. As soon as the Tau started fighting they'd leap at the bait, and no doubt some surviving Tau forces would hold out against the Imperial onslaught for a little bit.

But yeah, without any Empire wide organized resistance? The Imperials will steam roll everything, with heavy losses in some parts...but steamroll they will.
