I'm trying to decide on the best thing to use/buy for arms for a Swarmlord. I looked at the Chapterhouse Studios ones but they look to large to me. If I was good at scultping/casting I would duplicate the one that comes with the Hive Tyrant. So any recommendations out there?

From Chapterhouse I used one set of the Tyrant arms and one set of the warrior's--as per Janthkin's suggestion--and I think they look wonderful.

2 sets of the Tyrant arms might look a bit large, but on a regular basis I get a fair number of compliments on the look of the setup I use.

(Thanks again Janthkin and Chapterhouse games!)

Any chance of a pic or link to link to said discussion/idea?

I do not have one taken; I shall try to take one this evening when I get home from the office and post it.

If I do that, realize the painting is mine and not to be held against Chapterhouse.

hehehe

Maxmini has some nice looking "bio-swords" but the only issue is integrating them into the model. They do not come with a hand attached like the Chapterhouse ones.

Use plasticard, these are probably the easiest thing to convert in the entire army!

Plasticard is your very best friend. 1 Sheet will make a whole load of swords, and they'll be unique to your mini! It isn't that hard, just cut the rough shape with space to spare as when you file the edges to create the blades the surface area drops right off... unless you made them way too big 5 - 10 mins with a file and you're sorted

EDIT: Damn it I need to update this pic as I've changed the tail
