But the Iron men were destroyed in the dark age of technology after they turned on mankind.
We don't know enough about them, all we know is that they were mankinds servants, their warriors. they settled the galaxy for mankind and turned on them after thinking they were better than man byt they were destroyed.

The only known STC of the Men of Iron was tainted by chaos and destroyed by the tanith 1st and only

Yeah I think we could just say that a small group of them made it, just a thought.

Since the Imperium has a massive fear of sentinet machines because of the war with the Men of Iron, I think any time they were seen the Imperium would try and destroy them.

It would be a cool codex but cause we don't know much (i.e. 0) it would be makeing stuff up. An idea could be to run a men of iron army as necrons maybe?

No no no, GW made Battlefleet Gothic, not Battlestar Galactica

Indeed, a fine conversion idea. Count as necrons.

see, when I saw "iron men codex" I thought somebody had stolen my idea of an iron man themed eldar army because of the striking similarties between the armors. I thought I was going to have to gut-punch a thief. Haha

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I'm intending to build some, and run them with Loganwing or the rumored necron rules.

The Iron men with Space marines? WHAT!??!?!?!? The Most eviliest race of all time combined with space marines.... That sounds stupid.
But yeah the Iron Men race would be a cool codex.

From whom are unforgiven we bring the mercy of war.

You do realize the Imperium of Man is one of the most evil groups in 40k, right? As far as we know, the Iron Men might have even been groups of good AI's fed up with oppression or something.

Man those punks would just try to steal the necrons thunder. Yes the fluff is quite different but in the end they're still space robots. GW already has just about evey sci-fi archetype covered.

However, if they made spin off games based on the different time periods like the Horus Heresy, Age of Apostasy, Great Crusade, Dark Age of Tech, The War in Heaven, and so on then I could see iron men being a cool addition.

"Order. Unity. Obedience. We taught the galaxy these things, and we shall do so again."
"They are not your worst nightmare; they are your every nightmare."
"Let the galaxy burn!"

Thats stupid dude. Thats what made Humanity fall. The Iron Men came in killed billions of humans and other races.

What's your Source? And it's well documented in fluff that the Imperium is quite liberal in declaring exterminatus, so billions of people is chump change.
