I know they have been posted on here several times, but I cant seem to find the models that are good for the IG armies where they come 18 to a box and are a different brand. Can anyone help a brother out? IIRC they have trench coats with gas masks...

Thanks Dakkaland!

Those are nice, and cheep, but they are pre-order only, I think have been released, but I may go that route instead...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Those are the ones

On that note, are those the only ones people have used insterad of buying 15 boxes of GW IG infantry units?

They seem to be out : http://wargamesfactory.com/announcements/shock-troops-shipping-out

And to your 2nd question , they should be the ones people are using. Here is a quote on the price ( very cheap )
Shock Troops 18-Figure Set - $19.95 = $1.11 each
Shock Troops - 3+1 Deal (57 Troops) - $54 = $0.95 each
Shock Troops - 7X Deal (126 Troops) - $118 (Free Shipping Worldwide http://wargamesfactory.com/wargames-factory-store/shock-troops-3x-plus-1-dealToo) = $0.93 each and free shipping.

Compared to GW's $24.75 for 10 = $2.47 Per

Here is what they look like assemble and painted

And here is with GW's Cadian arms and weapon

The WF shock troops HAVE been released and many hobby stores already carry them.

I pre-ordered the 3+1 deal and was quite satisfied with my 60 IG models (I ended up with 3+2).

Bumped up my IG to 3 3 squad platoons for less than the price of TWO GW squads.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Yeah, I like em. The only problems are the weapons (which I switched for lasgun arms- not a problem if you don't mind counts as or use them as shotguns), the molded base (I just clipped it away from the feet) and the necks are a bit long on the heads (easy trim). Otherwise, they are fantastic- not alot of flash or huge mold lines, good detail without going bonkers so they paint quick, plenty of heads in several styles, etc. The bodies also look great with GW heads, though the WGF ones are kond of large for Cadian bodies. They are great for SMs, though, and I plan to use the lumpy ones for my psychic choir as I kind of want them to be too big for the body.

I bought a box to try them out, and with a bit of kitbashing I got two squads of Skitarii Vets for $20. I would have gotten more, but I'd already eBayed one of those bags of 80 old Warzone figures and Pig Iron heads for my Platoons. Overall, they make a very nice, respirator-tastic force, for a bargain price.

P.S. Also, if you're curious, the "Bit of Fun" is a Mind Flayer/Cthulu head with tentacles. I'll probably use some for my Chaos somewhere.

Bear in mind that I'm a very casual player, and any advice I give will reflect that tendency.
Garnet Host/Space Roaches >4000pts.
Mardi WAAAGH! >5000pts.

Thanks everyone for all the information! How long are their shipping times? I will probobly do the 7 box deal as my next project is going to be a 2000 pt horde IG army with roughly 140 or so troops with a couple of tanks. The fact they come with 18 per box works perfect as each platoon has a heavy weapons team anyway. As far as the weapons go I can always order some bits so I can keep it WYSIWYG. Again, thanks everyone for all the information so far
