I don't know if you need Yriel. You could save some points by dropping him. I like Eldrad, but at 1500, he can be kinda iffy.

Your main problem is going to be a lack of firepower. I'm not familiar enough with Space Wolves in drop pods to know what he'll be taking, but you may need to upgrade those DA squads to the 10DA+exarch+dual-cat+Bladestorm. Otherwise, you simply don't have much massed fire.

You could also switch those Scatter Lasers out for Star Cannons. Scatter Laser is typically better, but against MeQ that aren't in transports, a Star Cannon actually works out to be better. This would be total list tailoring, though, so use it only if you're comfortable with that

I think it looks really top-heavy. Far too much HQ and not enough volume. Little 5 man avenger squads are not going to account for much killing. Eldrad is nice to support other units, but when there is so little to support, it's not much help to cast Guide on 5 guys with mediocre guns, or on twin-linked scatterlasers versus save 3+ models. I think Eldrad and Yriel could better be replaced by a spirit stones Farseer with doom and fortune and a lot of howling banshees.

What would Yeenoghu do?

As the others have said, you are way to top heavy.

I will say that against pods, autarchs are at their best. Play from reserve and force him to deploy without you, make drop pod assault work against him. An autarch can then make sure nearly all of your army can sweep in from the tabe edge and hit him first.

Eldrad is a bad choice in this situation. He makes yriel and the lock's lose fleet. Replace him with a fortune seer. I'd also recomend upping your avenger squads. Scatters aren't going to do it, you need to force armor saves with bladestorms.

Xom finds this thread hilarious!

This is what I'd do...Autarch instead of Yriel, Farseer instead of Eldrad, Howling Banshees instead of Seer Council, 2 x 10 Avenger squads with Bladestorm instead of, add in a Fire Dragon Serpent and 3 Scatter laser War Walkers. I think that should be around 1500 points limit.

That's just advice though, feel free to take it any way you please.

ive found fire dragons + dark reapers a good combo against drop pods as if they drop close dragons light em up and if they land far reapers churn up troops only problem then is dreds but prisms could easily do that
