I have been browsing the forums now for a couple days trying to get an idea for my new Chaos Space Marine army and I am leaning towards the Black Legion. Why do so few people play the Black Legion, is there a problem with them?

because they are boring. It is the ultramarines of chaos except you get to use a little BA, a little DA, a little SW, whatever you want. The only ting that ties the warband together is the desire to raid Terra. There is simply nothing meaty or intriguing bout them. I say if you want to field Abaddon in particular then go Black Legion. Otherwise there are a lot of legions that have a nice backstory. A third option is simply go "renegade marines" and do whatever you think is cool.

Black Legion is the biggest, baddest Legion. They have the most resources of all the other Chaos Legions. There's no problem with them.
