Hi guys, im trying to repaint some badly painted models, and i was wondering has anyone tried Green Works by clorox to remove paint off of models? the owner of my local games workshop said to try simple green, but i was wondering if they both work on the same principal.

Thanks for the help

Metal or plastic?

If it's metal, acetone works quite well. There are tutorials in Youtube to help you with that.

I'm unfamiliar with paint removers for plastic, though.

Violence is not the answer, but it's always a good guess.

Oh god. Good luck.

I was using simple green for about a year, and it works WONDERFUL but I just got some models from a guy that will just not strip.

Simple Green doesn't remove primer, AFAIK. I don't prime my models for that exact reason. I'm constantly getting better at painting, and I like to just totally erase my old work. But I digress.

Simple green is good, as is...Denatured Alcohol (look for that in the painting section)...I use the latter with a brush and it basically just removes paint quickly, rather than soaking it. If you spray it out of a pressure washer, it can easily strip a tank..

Good luck!

Yeah green works, works fine that is what I use. You get the same result as simple green.

Super clean works pretty good for both metals and plastics.

If you have a dollar store near by, there is a general cleaner called LA's Totally Awesome. It works great for both metals and plastics too!
