Plan: Attach Ethereal to Kroot, CHARGE!, ???, Profit!

real Plan: have everyone deploy within 18 inches of Shadowsun, Attach Ethereal to Kroot and start booking it towards the biggest, baddest enemy. Ethereal dies, more Tau pass LD test thanks to Shadowsun's LD bubble, I now have preferred Enemy, so I won't do AS bad in CC if I get caught in it. Everything else while the Kroot/Ethereal blob charges will focus fire on anything I don't like. And who knows? maybe the Ethereal and kroot might get lucky and kill some dudes along the way. Thoughts?

Interesting concept - let me know how this goes. I hate the ethereal with a burning passion, but this could make him an lol unit to put in a list that would confuse a lot of players at my LGS.

Every fiber of my being hates the Ethereal. However, every fiber of my being also wants to see him die horribly.

I get the idea and buy into it, but I still think some tweaks are needed here and there.

This is simply an awful wep load-out. *If* you stick with TLFlamers, how about Target Lock instead of BSF. It might actually be useful as two suits nail a larger enemy unit and the third suit might tap a smaller enemy unit. Whereas the BSF if for ranged weps.

Save a couple points and just have Team LEader as the 'vre' upgrade makes no real difference in h2h. Make the TeamL switch and you get the Bonding Knife for the same points. I think a BK is worth rallying 2 suits. And wouldn't Shield Drones simply last longer? Armor 2+ *and* 4++?

Did this because the Etheral( and the shaper) will be spearheading the Assault, and I wanna hurt something.

But how will my flamers fire at night without the Blacksun Filter? Seriously, I did it to be as cheap as possible, without worrying about effective.

Shield drones are also 20 points more. I'd only save 10 points by dropping both squads down to Team Leaders, and still need 70 points for Shield Drones. And with Shadowsun's Leadership Bubble taking everything to LD 10, I'm not worried about breaking.

If I drop the Honorblade, And I might after my first test run, then I'll put a Multitracker on it.
