After a 40k tournament i have decided to ditch as many fish as i can because i now hate them. They are expensive and with the drones are two kill points and im just tired of them. So i am going to try and branch out and try more units my original list was
Commander Fusion Blaster Missile Pod 2xSheild Drones Multi tracker stim injector
3xcrisis-Plasma, missiles, multi trackers
11firewarriors shas'ui bonding knife
1xDedicated Devilfish-disruption Pods
11firewarriors shas'ui bonding knife
10firewarriors shas'ui bonding knife
10xKroot
6xPathfinders
6xPathfinders
2xDedicated Devilfish-disruption Pods
Hammerhead-Multitracker, Railgun, SMS, Disruption pods
2xBroadsides

Too many firewarriors and pathfinders made deploying for a height and cover advantage difficult.
And although they did well i want to keep just one or two squads of them. The bonding knife never did anything for me and because i want them to stay still in this list i might give them a markerlight.

I am just taking one larger squad of finders to make deployment easier and faster and so i dont have to pay for another fish.

The kroot where pretty good but nearly strong enough to take anyone but guardsmen or other tau in close combat so i will make their squad huge and able to take on a marine squad and win but not wipe them out so they dont get shot in the enemy shooting phase.

The Hammerhead Is getting a friend and so are the broadsides and they are also getting shield drones.

And i am tired of the crisis relying on markerlight support so i am making them a bodyguard with the commander.

So here is my revised list.

HQ

Shas'o-Fusion Blaster, Missile pod, HW Drone Controller, HW Multi Tracker, Stimulant Injector, 2xShield Drones, Hard Wired Target Lock, Ejection System-164

2xBodyGuard-Plasma Rifle, Missile pod, Targeting Array, HW Drone Controller, HW Multi Tracker, 2xGun Drones, 1xFailsafe Detonator-219

Elites

6xStealth Suits-180

6xStealth Suits-180

Troops

11xFireWarriors-110

12xFireWarriors-120

20xKroot, 12xKroot Hounds-200

Fast Attack

8xPathfinders-96
Dedicated Devilfish-Disruption Pods-85
Heavy Support

Hammerhead-Smart Missile System, Multi Tracker, Disruption Pods, Railgun-175

3xBroadsides-Targeting Array, Team Leader, 2xSheild Drones-220

Total-1744

Well that was weird i thought the finders were in... Oh well by by hammerhead.

Changed up the broadsides.

Now Fear me MWAHAHAHAH... unless you have a 4+ save.

And the silly Kroot ate their legs.

Ive never before used stealth suits but if the pathfinders focus on supporting them then i should have 36 BS5 shots at one unit which can really ruin the day of orks, tau, guardsmen, Eldar, and in two turns off shooting i can wipe the floor with a space marine squad and if i play it right i can stay out of rapid fire range.

The Warriors will hold Objectives or provide fire support along with the broadsides.

The hammerheads shoot tanks or anything that has a 4+ armour save.

The broadsides take on vehicles. These guys are who i expect to take on land raiders and ruses.

I realise the bodyguard unit is expensive but i reckon that they will be near impossible to take down From Shooting and in close i will sacrifice the drones so i can run away and the failsafe will go off and leave the commander +1 to go free. The ejection system i took because it means if they somehow get to him they still have to kill that model to stop an objective from being contested and because both of them seem fun.

So what do you think of the list?

Have you tried the Warfish? SMS, TA, MT, DisPod? It becomes a somewhat worthwhile gunboat and one less KP. I make the upgrade for my Pathfinders' fish every time. In fact, I can't think of a time when I used a stripped down D'fish.

Why not break the Bodyguards off as you have that next Elite slot open? Saves you points and the results are the same. A pair of FKs shooting at BS3 that the Shas'O can attach to. Spend the points on upgrading your obligatory Warfish. Oh, GDs? C'mon, Shield Drones!

Warfish!

I'd find another few points to TeamLead and Bond.

How so? The unit is huge (footprint-wise) because of the drones so they won't be able to JSJ into hiding. Anyway, split 'em off the HQ, like I recommend and change the GDs to ShieldDs ;*that* will ensure some durability.
