Ok the first army i ever used was the necrons but due to moving several times they ended up broken and lost.
.

Now when i finally got back in to the game the Necrons were (shall we say) ruinined by the 5th ed rules so i left them alone and got my self a SM army .

The thing is i always get drawn back to the Necrons ,yes i know the imperian (SM and such) will alwys have the coolest rules and newest codexs, but i also know the Necrons will geta new dex somtime within the next ten years
I also know it will be good untill an FAQ rectifes anything in it that they find to powerfull for the SM

So i am stuck deciding on Necrons that dont work and are still waiting for a new dex and wont ever be as good as SM since that would be agianst the rules ,but are different to the normal SM brigade ,or the SM i have, which i dont really like as much as Necrons .

No i am not asking you to help me choose but asking, Imperiam armies vs others? or more to the point SM vs others ,how with everything we know did you make your choice ?

Ok for the truly educated among you i will ask agian in a more apropriate manner.

Wat is it that made you chose your army be it SM,Imperiam or xeno? and why ? I.E why did you go Xeno over Imperiam and vice verser

I do have an excuse that sitting here being full of flu, tends to affect my already sub standard use of wrriten Engilsh and may be in part ,to blame for my short curt comments ,

Oh and please glass houses and stones

Imperium - if the poster before you spelled it correctly, you should too. The only excuse that makes a difference is if you're a non-native English speaker. Proper spelling and grammar is one of the rules of this site.

So you want help on whether to choose an Imperium army or not? I mean, they can cover almost any base you're thinking of, whether it's mech, elite infantry, or close combat. It seems you're basically asking if you should use one among half the armies in the game. On a personal note, I started Marines because I thought the models looked cool. I started Space Wolves because I thought Vikings were cool. I started Guard because they seemed they'd play a lot different, and I liked the idea of lots of tanks.

Are you trying to demean spanish people reputation of being the worst english speakers ever, mate?

But now that you ask, and forgive me if I misunderstood the question, I went with Eldar and Tyranids because I loved the models and the feel of misterious aliens with stylized looks and organic aesthetics, sort of Giger-like.

I chose Xeno simply because there's way too many people playing space marines, and with this I mean the unnecessarily loud early teen kids in Stockholm's Games Workshop store. Add in that it's the mainstream, and their relatively repulsive nature (they arm the main enforcement forces of an oppressive, self-destructive, theocracy where an uncomfortable amount of parallels can be drawn to the less glamorous parts of relatively recent Euro-Asian history).

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

He was only meaning that people will take more of an effort replying if you also make an effort with the threads spelling. If your that debilitated by a cold/flu bug that you cant use a spell checker. Maybe wait till you feel better?

I started with Dark Eldar. Fast, fragile but strong in medium to close range. Love that and their style.

I know plenty of native Spanish speakers who can speak AND write better English than THIS.

Start with whichever army you like the best. Don't think "Imperium vs Non-Imperium" (And no, it's not Imperiam), think "Space Marines vs Imperial Guard vs Necrons vs Tyranids vs Orks vs Eldar vs [etc]".

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.
