I like it. I like it a lott. I have long dreamt of building a list like this, but I have as of yet not build a list like it. It has a good long range, forcing the oponent to come to you, enshuring that it works as a mainly footslogging list. It even has 5 troops, and is planing on holding 4, with the big group fighting in the midfield. However, I would like to adjust 5 points in the list:
1: Although I love the consept of the lone wolf, I often find that they underperform. Perhaps I use them wrong but I often do not get the resoult I want with them.
2: This list has 2 tanks that are
AP 11 for 75 points. While the las cannons are good, they will easaly be shot down.
3: The list has no anti psycer, witch could be very good.
4: Although yes cyclone missile launchers are better then assoult cannons
IMHO I would like to have som assoult cannons in the force because that was what was the orignal terminator weapon and the models pof it looks so good.
5: The list does not have any plasma cannons, a very handy tool in dealing with a whole lott of units, and that usualy enshures that your oponent does not dear to deep strike in huge units and not running with them.
My idea upon improving my list I my consept is to remover the long fangs razor backs, exhaning them with drop pods, the lone wolfs and the greyhunter squads. That would give me 560 points to play around with.
I would upgrade 2 of the longs fangs missile launchers to a plasma cannon. (20 points)
Give each of the longs fangs a drop pod. (70 points)
1 group of wolf guards with 3 combi meltas, 1
TDA with assoult cannon & power sword, 1 with combi plasma and a drop pod (190)
1 Land Speeder with 2 Mullti meltas. (80)
1 Dreadnought with plasma cannon, heavy flamer, drop pod (170)
To a total of 530 points.
Yes there is still no rune priest. I have lost the mech eficiently macking it a foot sloging list. I am also forcing my oponent to not have any good targets for his anti tank shots until mid game. The plasma cannon long fangs will drop in at the mid section.
Mid game when the resreves are coming inn I can adjust them, accordingly, aplying the damadge where it is moast important. I got 1 anti horde drop pod (dreadnought) 1 anti tank land speeder (melta) and 1 anti tank/anti
MC squad (the assoult cannon, 3 meltas and 1 plasma shots upon droping inn.)
I do hoever lose one scoring unit and 2 laser cannon shots, but what do you think? Is it better or worse then the original list, and is it any good? What should I do diferently?
