Anyone else playing Lord of the Rings Online? I played for a while when it first came out then quit after a few months... but then I started looking into it again a few months ago and decided to try it out and I ended up buying a lifetime subscription. They've greatly improved the game over the last few years and it's a ton of fun.

Yeap, if you haven't already heard you can play for free. While the free accounts are somewhat limited, you CAN earn Turbine Points in game which can be used to purchase additional content. It's very similar to the way they've styled DDO.

Skirmishes are the greatest new feature. They are semi-randomized battles scaled to whatever level and party size you want. They have some really cool stuff such as defending the Prancing Pony from Brigands trying to light it on fire. You have to not only fight off the enemies but stop them from getting torch bearers close enough to light it on fire.

I'm playing on the Landroval server right now. My main is a hobbit Warden named Istarri, but I also have alts named Svenn and Malifaux (yeah, I know that one is very original).

I played it. It is pretty fun. I can't play now because I am now in college.
