All right then. I've been thinking... Instead of this being just a few games of the same Zombie killing stuff.... Why not make it into a sort of... Campaign? Each game shouldn't take tooooo long! ALL GAMES TO BE PLAYED..... on a 4x4 Board Brainstorming time. ZOMBIE STUFF! They all have Mindless, Slow and Purposefull, Feel no pain, Fearless and Infectious. WS|BS|S|T|In|A|W|Ld| | 3 | 3 |4|5|1 | 1 |1 |10| Infectious: For every saved and unsaved wound that your survivor takes roll a D6. If you happen to get a 6 you are now a zombie with the same stats and Equipment as your survivor but with -1 bs, In, ws. you do however get +1 toughness! you also get to control d6 Zombies a turn. If you die at the hands of a Zombie with this rule or any similiar rule, you turn into a zombie regardless of whether you pass the role. You also Turn over to the Zombies team for the Rest of the game! CHARACTER STUFF! Your Character must be a Basic Guy from the Troops Section of your Codex. I don't really care what it is so long as its infantry. So No Bikes for you Dave You can give him up to 15 Points of upgrades. I'll even allow you to make him a Sergent or Champion or whatever (so long as it only costs you +15 for the upgrade) The Basic cost of your Character cannot come to more than 50 points in total! All Guns that can fire more than one shot, are rapid fire! (So no two shot Lascannons, Plasma Cannons etc. etc.) Every Weapon that can fire more than one shot can seperate its shots! So if you have a Heavy Bolter you could potentaily kill 3 Zombies a turn! If your unfortunate enough to die First! Some Background to why your Crazy Fethers are on a Zombie Planet! Planet Verfall. A Planet not too far from the Maelstrom. Your Team Assume it is uninhabited, but thats never the case anymore... The Planet has been overrun by an Ork Horde, With Mad Dok Haifisch at the very front of it! This however is what the Records have told you. When you arrive on the planet you find it deserted! Deserted, except for the smell of rotting flesh that even your breathing adaptors cannot purge from the air. You Have a Scout around and find nothing. You Notice that, what you assume is the sun, is begining to set... And then. The Chaos Began. The Ork Horde Come up from the Sewers, From inside Damp, Dark Holes and caves they Shuffled out, groaning. You Notice that instead of the Roaring Fury that orks usually have, These orks meerly stare at you and your team... You Decide to let your most accurate Team Mate take a Pot shot at the Ork Nob. You Allow yourself a grin as the Brute takes the bullet straight in head and falls to the ground. The Rest of his Mob instead of fleeing in fear, watch their leader as he slowly gets back to his feet. You now Know that what your facing, isn't just Orks. Its Orks with the Blessing of The Chaos God Nurgle who has granted them a Zombie life, and a Ravenous hunger for Brains. And guess what. You Have Brains! Mission One: Hold Out. Your Team have arrived at a small section of the city just in time to set up a perimeter for the night. Deployment: Team: Set up a big cityish, ruined chunk of terrain in the middle of the board. THIS is your camp. Zombies: You can spawn 5 zombies per player to a Max. of 30 a turn Objectives: Zombies: EAT THEM!!!! Team: Survive until dawn (Turn 4 is Dawn, Turn 5 Is end of Game!) (This Mission Gives Bonus Points!) +5 points if you manage to surive past turn 4! Mission Two: Scavenge! You were hunting around for extra gear one day when you found a Cache of supplys! The Aim of this Mission is to hunt around the City for extra guns and the suchlike! Each Cache has a Chance of producing something kwel! In order to open said Cache you must simply get in base to base contact with the marker. Once you have acheived this. Roll a D6 1. Extra bandages: Grants you a Feel No Pain save at 3+ until your next turn. 2. Heavy Flamer: You have found enough materials to cobble together a Flamer Thrower! Roll a D6 for both Strength and AP first time you use it! (4 Uses) 3-5. Fresh Meat???: You Open the Cache to find ALOT of Fresh meat. Spawn 4d6 zombies around the building that the cache is in! 6. Daemonic Tome: You Open the Cache to find a Daemonic Tome! This tome drains all the Life from All Zomibes within 3d6" of the user! However Be warned for if this tome is used... You must lose a Wound and reduce any 3 stats (Players Choice) in your stat line to 1! So Using this comes at a cost! Deployment: Zombies: Anywhere someone finds some fresh meat! Team: Anywhere on the board so long as its 12" away from a building and within 3" off your teammates Mission: Zombies: Kill off as many of the Team as you can Team: Gather as many Cache's as you can as they will be usefull in the next mission! Mission Three: Hunt The Mad Dok! You Notice that Mad Dok Haifisch has been absent from the Zombie Assualt for Quite a while now... As your team gather together you realise that by killing the Zombie Leader, You Could put a dent in the Assualts! Mad Dok Haifisch: WS|BS|S|T|In|A|W|Ld| | 6 | 4 |6|6|1|3 |6 |10| The Mad Dok has.... Mindless, Slow and Purposefull, Feel no pain, Fearless, Plauge Ridden Monster, Were Me Big 'Uns Gone?! Plauge Ridden Monster: The Mad Dok was the first to succumb to the Zombie Creating power of Nurgle! He has poisned attacks at 2+ and any infectious roll you pass... He's going to want you to pick up that dice and re-roll it ! Were Me Big 'Uns Gone?!: The Mad Dok in life, was an ork who liked to be surronded by his best work. The Work he had spent most time in tampering and tinkering with! He Won't reveal his location until all three of his Master-Bred Orkbies are dead! Master-Bred Orkbies: WS|BS|S|T|In|A|W|Ld| | 8 | 0 |6|6|1|.4|3 |10| The Master-Bred Orkbies have.... Mindless, Slow and Purposefull, Feel no pain, Fearless, Infectious, Orkbie Chug 'nd Blast! Orkbie Chug 'nd Blast!: Originally this weapon was a small arm cannon that would be attatched to a Backpack containing Ork Toxins... Now The cables going to the backpack continue on going straight into the Orkbies Stomach! This Cannon Does a Large Blast attack at S3+W AP4. However every time the Master-Bred Orkbie fires this gun, he loses a wound and consequently the weapons strength is reduced by one! He does however gain a wound for every turn he doesnot fire it! For Example if he fires in it turn 1 its going to be at S6! But if he fires it again in Turn 2, it'll only be Strength 5... Deployment: Team: You set up in a corner oppsite to The Mad Dok and his Horde Zombies: You can Deploy 4d6 Zombies and the 3 Master-Bred Orkbies anywhere with in 12" of your corner. Mission: Zombies: Keep The Mad Dok alive until turn 4 OR Kill The Survivors Team: Hunt Down and kill as many Master-Bred Orkbies and if you can The Mad Dok Himself! (This Mission Gives Bonus Points!) +5 Points for each Master-Bred Orkbie Killed +20 Points if you Kill the Mad Dok himself! KEEP A COUNT OF HOW MANY YOU KILL!!! Cus Each Zombie you kill gives you an extra point that you can use to upgrade your dude! and as an added bonus, theres this funky little table! 5 Kills/Points: You now have furious Charge! 10 Kills/Points: You now have Rending (Shooting Only) 15 Kills/Points: You now have Feel No Pain! 20 Kills/Points: You can now refund the total cost of your character (so 15 points for a marine and then 15 points for a plasma gun as an example) and use those points and the ones you have earned so far to become an infantry model from your elite section!

Well My one of My local clubs asked me to make them a Halloween Event to played on the......... 28th of october iirc, so i'll take my Camera Down and snap some piccys XD
My only problem is, i don't know if all the rules will make it confusing?
Is there anything you'd change?

well i would suggest you start simple, i would make one mission with a body count acting like strategic points kind of mission design. your other missions are really nice and they are full of fluff but these might be better done with friends and not on so a special occasion as halloween. i´d love to play these missions, don´t get me wrong but to tell you the truth you had to have a undead painted orc army first...or do you have one already? no use a simple one first and maybe then the will ask for more^^

Well its a Club Thing only and they'll have had 2 weeks to read over the rules ^^
and were just using Basic Orks as the Zombies at the moment. My mate hasn't painted them yet so we can use the power of imagination :L. (south Park reference = fail ^^)
i Have 20 Zombies :L and some Rat Ogres that i can use at the OrkBies, and i'm sure one of us has a really nice model for The Mad Dok Himself ^^

You can buy really cheap and good zombie models from a different wargaming maker, like 100 for $50 or something.
My own rules were something like this:
You have 250 points to spend on anything that is not over toughness 5, and does not have an AV value. The entire outside of the map (small) is surrounded by zombies, who all count as single models for the purposes of movement, but one big unit for the purposes of being shot at.
Zombies are Ws 2 (according to the weaponskill chart, this is not underpowered) bs 0 str 3 t 3 w1 ini 1 LD fearless sv 6+
All zombies have rage, slow and purposeful, and vulnerable to blast/templates. Zombies count difficult terrain as dangerous terrain.
Your own units totally ignore force org and unit restrictions, so you may have 1 man terminator squads. It is your choice entirely.
You may have up to 3 teammates. Firing players may allocate wounds on zombies. Same for close combat. In this way, if enough allies fight in a combat with zombies before being surrounded, it is possible to kill all zombies within 2 and exit the combat. This would require at least 10 zombie kills, so a good melee specialist would be useful to have.
Some good lists to go for would be Terminator with assault cannon - 70 points, terminator with powersword and stormbolter - 40 points, terminator with lightning claws - 40, terminator with powerfist and heavy flamer - 45 points
Total: 230, with room for tacs.
Or alternatively 15 IG veterans and a 3x heavy bolter heavy weapons team.
Whenever 10 zombies are killed, the net turn, these zombies will return from the board edge.
Survive for 5 turns to win.
On turn 3, Infected Guardsmen come, and they have guardsmen stats, but fearless, and a 4+ armour save (4+ because they have a slight feel no paiin coz their zombies)

so i'm looking for the poll option that says this "good idea, but the rules need to be completely redone"
i'm at a loss for words at how strange the rules are there really is no need to overcomplicate things (ie; oh the surviviors upgrade so there need to be super zombies and bad caches)
on a different note look up All Things Zombie, the rules are incredibly simple and fluid depite them being zombie rules tacked onto the Two Hour Wargames ruleset. I'd take a page from them and keep the rules simple.

The Only reason its overcomplicated is because my local club told me not to do some basic and bog standard sit in the middle and kill zombies all day long mission. So i decided to make it into a campiagn more than a few Zombies kills. In my eyes, its ok with the Super Zombies.

You wanted critique and feedback, so i gave it. Justifying negative points or just ignoring them doesn't make the ruleset better, all it does is make you look more like you want praise for your "amazing work" rather than you want feedback to improve it (because nothing in the world is perfect).
BTW its completely reasonable to complain about the poll, every poll option is pretty much praise and a pat on the head for you, if someone truely believes that this ruleset can be improved they should be able to convey that to you in your poll.
In conclusion if you don't want negative feedback and state it openly in the first point, I'll respect you alot more for simply stating "i want praise" and i'll be able to save my time, not read the thread and not have to waste my time giving feedback to someone who won't care.

mainly the characters as some people will want to use there awesome chaplin they have made, or an inquisitor they have made.
so So my idea is the amount of zombie total and per turn is x the points used (also limmiting to 1 ranged 1 melee weapon), oh and diffrent zombie (ala left 4 dead) and running zombies ARE fun!

Suffers seriously from two things: some armies have very expensive basic troop (Blood Angels or Space Wolves) while other armies have really cheap ones ( IG and Tau). Some upgrades are personal upgrades (power weapon) while others are priced on squad upgrades (blade storm).
To make it a bit more even, set a point limit for the model. Could also work out a basic model for each army and then let you upgrade from a broader than usual list up to a certain point value.

I agree with In, A and W, LD dosn't matter, they're fearless so should be max LD
But 4S? 5T? and all you have from the first match is a indivudal Guardsmen? I personally think the zombie is too tough, maybe add, as other posters have commented 'special' zombies, with better stats.
Other than that, I see no reason why a zombie can't just be GEQ, but with 4T, 0 Bs (who can aim when their arms don't work properly?) and 2-3 Ws. (Mindless hunger and total disregard for personal safety can justify 3 Ws)
Other than that, love the little scenario rules, and general feel, may suggest this down my FLGS

Haha yes, but a typical zombie drone goes down quickly, thats why they come in horde flavour ^^

I like it a lot... I'd personally add more flavor to upgrades and experience... Add some equipment, traps and similar... Add more Zombie-bosses and similar things... But like the idea very much Automatically Appended Next Post: I never had an oportunity to play it... Can anyone give me link to some zombie rules?
