i know, there have been a billion threads on this but i wanted a final discicionwithout reading 500 pages of stuff: is the Alpha legion really working for the emperor?

by the way, if you've read Legion you would know that they side with horus FOR the emperor. so then if they sided with horus for the emperor, how did they turn bad?

Now that I've said that... Their behavior for the last 10,000 years has been decidedly "Chaosish". If they were really on the Emperor's side they'd most likely be doing something other than spreading heresy throughout the Imperium.

The alpha legion was trying to save the galaxy by killing the emperor and letting horus destroy everything, thus starving chaos. Unfortunately, this failed horribly and now the alpha legion just destroys worlds out of misery and spite.
