As I posted SM and Ork army for this special tournament, I wanted to make (just for fun) my third army (i.e. Necron) list... I know Necrons are probably the worst army ever on small pts cap, and this special rules nerf them even more:

FOC:
1 HQ
2-6 TROOPS
0-1 ELITE
0-1 FAST ATTACK
0-1 HEAVY SUPPORT

Special rules:
1. No special characters
2. No models with wound 4+
3. No models with 2+ save
4. No ordnance weapons
5. Max AV 33 (front+side+rear)
6. No vehicles with 3 or more weapons

Game is played on 3x4 table with all distance from missions halved and max 3 pts... So as you can see Necrons will have lot of hordes to deal with (since rules favor them)....
I know that it won't be best list to play with, but I want to do best of the possible best for this pts cap so that at least I can

So here are few lists I was considering:

HQ: 170
Lord (warschyte, phase shifter, destroyer body): 170

TROOPS: 360
10x warriors: 180
10x warriors: 180

FAST ATTACK: 160
10x Scarabs (dc): 160

HEAVY SUPPORT: 55
1x Tomb spyder: 55

TOTAL: 745

Lord flies around with scarabs, tomb guards warriors advancing... Still don't think good enough...

I tried playing destroyers (4 of them) but that didn't end up well

Wow, alot of options to choose from...

Only thing that does something with necrons are fast attacks and they have to be taken in few slots to allow wbb roles... 3 wraiths can't do much as first anti-infantry fire will wipe them out... Same thing with destroyers... Will try playtest with 4 destroyers few times, just to see if I can make a difference...

I had an idea... How about 3x spyders? They can be taken as single HS choice... And having T6 2+ cover unit advancing slowly towards opponent is not so bad... Without scarabs and lord, it's 525pts... So what lord to take in that case? Destroyer lord and scarabs? Or footy lord to go with warriors?

Why bother playing if you are so limited? seriously whoever made those rules is either A. a whiner B. a guy who wants to make everything to his advantage.

It's for tournament... We have this small cap tournaments every month in Croatia, so we decided to go... I'm taking my SM, and my friends are going with orks and eldar... I still have Necrons so I wanted to try to make list just for fun to try it out and see if I can beat any of our other lists

I don't really think there is anything necrons can do in 750 to counter a list such as...

ORKS:

Big Mek w/ KFF + PK

2x 30 Boyz, Nob w/ PK
1x 29 Boyz, Nob w/ PK

I think so too. My friend is playing 66 boyz + lootas and deffkopta and big mek... Don't think there is much to do there... But will try... Good thing is that if crons go first they can single shot 20 shots on orks and then rapid fire next turn 40 shots... That could help... And with deployment there is some chance to get assaulted by only 1 squad of boyz (if one gets blasted in the meantime)... Not too perfect, but best they can do against hordes... Nevertheless, I'd like to try to make at least some kind of list since one of our friends will come over one day so that we tryout with 4 armies to create mini tournament...
