So my friend and I are trying out a proxy game to determine where we want to go with our armies. He is using a somewhat mixed eldar list with 2 waveserpents(bright lances) and 3 walkers(he is currently considering lots of missiles, but after learning hammerheads are front armour 13 he is considerring more bright lances). Very troop heavy list. As of right now here is what I plan to bring to the party
HQ
Shas'el with Targetting array, missile pod, plasma rifle, hw drone controller with 2 shield drones hw multi tracker
1 body guard(fireknife w/ hw multi tracker, and maybe a target array or target lock
Elites
2 Deathrain suits in 1 or 2 units, You guys would know better than me.
Troops
6 fw devilfish w/smart missiles and disruption pod
6 fw devilfish w/smart missiles and disruption pod
6 fw
Fast attack
8 pathfinders 1 is leader with bonding knife, devilfish w/smarth missiles and disruption pod
Heavy Support
2 Broadsides, 1 as team leader with Targetting array, hw target lock, hw drone controller, 2 shield drones, the other with targetting array
1 railhead with multitracker, disruption pod
1 railhead with multitracker, disruption pod
Any suggestions on ways to slim up points for more suits, other suit configurations for this point configurations, etc etc
For this list, I want to ensure I pop his transports and have enough options to deal with his scoring units. Any ideas/suggestions/tactics to try?

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade. |

Drop the body guard. Take a team lead instead. You get the same thing for cheaper.
Split the pathfinders into 2 teams. Remove a devil fish form the firewarriors for this. You now can get 2 targets with markerlights and if you lose one squad you still have some around.
Drop the targetting arrays on the broadsides. Take ASS instead. You'll be able to try to get side/rear hits if you are luck on wave serpents. Keep the target lock.
Also remove a shield drone from your commander. Take Stim Injectors instead. A Piranha would also be useful if you had one. Sneak around the back of wave serpents and take them out.

Rogueeyes is right on the money. I would also drop the smart missiles on the devilfish to free up more points for either more Crisis suits or Pirahnas.

Being an eldar player I can recommend one thing... lots and lots and lots of Missile pods. *fades into the shadows for giving traitorous info*
