I once wanted to build an army of elves based from the city og gondolin and have the asosiated heros, as well as the heros of men from that time, but it never happened, imagine if you played a games from that time period and faced off against ten balrogs, scary.

They woukld be difficult to stat up as some of the names mentioned in the first could handle the 10 Balrogs in the second, and that is not counting the last two.
Statting Melkor for play is a pointless as statting Khorne.

Considering Sauron, the invincible power from the Lord of the Rings book, was only a servant of a lesser order compared to Morgoth...it's like playing an atom bomb in FOW.
Why stop at the Silmarillion? Why not go to The Children of Hurin? I play Mormegil the Black Sword vs. 150 Orcs...GO!
Why even stop there? Let's go to The Adventures of Tom Bombadil? Who would be gutsy enough to fight Mewlips?
What I mean is that there are far too many characters in the Silmarillion to even conceivably create.

I made a silmarillion army for WotR named 'Ungoliant's Dark Progeny'.
Though I have to admit it was rather easy since it all just a bunch of spiders. *shrug*
|
