Does the titan appear in the Blood Angels codex?

The answer to your question is the same.

There are now intended for apocalypse (sized) games.

The rules are rather out of line with much of 40k--moreso than many other expansion units.

They make a good centerpiece of an army and can work well in campaigns or somesuch. But if apocalypse games are not going to be played often, it will get very little mileage, from what I have seen/played.

Not that I think that is a reason NOT to do it.

Titans are only really usable in Apocalypse.

Space Marine Chapters don't generally have Titans. It would be an allied Adeptus Mechanicus unit.

Then again, I wouldn't put it past Matt Ward to stick a bunch of Land Raiders together, Voltron-style, and call it a new Blood Angels Heavy Support choice.

Fixed, as BAs are out already.

foor: Titans are typically for apoc only (as others have pointed out).

You can sometimes play them in regular games, but you need your opponents permission, like any other FW or IA thing. But, most players are very hesitant to allow Titans. With the structure points and all sorts of other rules, they can be rather complicated to play, with or against. And, since most of us don't play with titans regularly, we don't know the rules and are too scared to learn them them.

Also, they can throw off the balance of a game, and an army really needs advance notice of a titan, because you need quite a bit of focus in order to kill it.

there is nothing stopping you playing fun games where its the titan vs a similar points army etc, just like supertanks vs army missions in some of the 40k expansions. in those the superheavy tanks have structure points so no different to the titan. they are fun battles to play and as the opponent to the titan you can either use all ur firepower on it or ignore it and go for the objectives. my advice would be to talk to your regular opponents and see if they fancy games like that, if they do use a stand in for now and see if you like playing the titan.

This is pretty well covered by most other people, but I'd like to add that if you wish to add a Titan to a game...you'll want a set of the Apoc rules present and change the game to that type for sure.

This would allow the opponent, even if he isn't fielding something similar, to experience the Apoc environment on his side as well. The assets are just as fun as the models, and the scenarios are VERY easy to run.
