This is an awesome list I've played a couple of times. Every time I use it, it does really well. Minimal casualties and victory.

Crisis Battlesuit Commander (Shas'el)
-TL Flamer
-Missile Pod
-Bonding Knife
Points - 73

Crisis Battlesuit Team (2x)
-TL Flamer
-Missile Pods
Points - 86

Fire Warrior Team (12)
Points - 120

Fire Warrior Team (12)
Points - 120

Pathfinder Team (4x)
Devilfish (SMS/MT/TA/DP)
Points - 168

Pathfinder Team (4x)
Devilfish (SMS/MT/TA/DP)
Points - 168

Hammerhead Gunship
-Railgun
-Burst Cannons
-Multi Tracker
-Target Lock
-Disruption Pods
Points - 170

Broadside Battlesuit (Team Leader)
-A.S.S.
-Multi-Tracker
Points - 90

Total Points - 995

The pathfinders camp somewhere in the back the whole game, and the Fire Warriors take their devilfish. Then the firewarriors just zoom up to weaker units that are guaranteed to die in their rapid fire range... thus keeping them safe.

The hammerheads also camp in the back, staying out of range of most units.

If I encounter any heavy infantry, my hammerheads usually can reduce them enough for my fire-warriors to finish them.

I don't quite know what to do with the commander, and I have sixteen points to spare. Last game I did with this list, my commander was the most useless unit in my army, and he did absolutely nothing, and he also was my only casualty.

I normally play against nids, necrons, eldar, and orks that spam heavy units. Nids are my greatest fear, and the guy who plays them changes his playing strategy every game... so I can only hope that I have an appropriate army.

Any suggestions on the list? I'm mainly torn over the commander and the extra sixteen points...

Simple answer: Shield Drone.

But, I'm guessing you'd like something more insightful.

I've read your justification of TL-flamers, and I'm intrigued to try it out, so keeping them on the suit ...

His single MP won't do much, so you could drop it. And this is really only for a tourney setting where surviving HQs are often worth extra game points or secondary objectives; get him a Shield Gen. It helps a bunch to ensure survivability.

If you're not sweating that so much, then a Shield Drone, for the less points and keep your MP (which at BS 4 is still a rhino popper).

Have you tried putting him in Reserve and hoping for a late Turn 'walk on'?

The single MP wont do much but when he is out of range for the flamers it could pop light armour or kill something at least.

As for the commander, give him a shield drone?
Maybe even replace 1 HH rail with 1 Broadside with ASS or Multi-tracker.

That should free up 70 points, and if you add the 16pts you have left that's 86pts, that's enough to buy yourself 2 hellfire suits (TL Flamer +MP) to stick your HQ in with. Means he has more durability...then I would just suggest you remove a few FW for shield drone on BS or shield Gen and Bonding knife on HQ.

I'm sorry, I don't have any Broadsides yet. Definitely something I need to fix. My opponent may allow proxy though... so I'll work it in.

Also, half the reason of the hammerheads was to give out templates. Trust me, armor has never been a problem in the games I play. The eldar player only ever fields two tanks max, the ork only has a battlewagon and a trukk, and he rarely fields both of the them.

The marine player barely has any armor to speak of as well...

The multi-tracker on the broadside technically does nothing as well. By strict RAW, there is no way you'd be allowed to fire two TL systems with it. Ah well, the other guys prolly won't care.

EDIT - Seeing as I have never used broadsides before, I have a question concerning them. It tells under its entry that you must select at least one battle-suit support system, are you allowed to get more? Would I have to make him a 'vre to get the Multi Tracker?

I also now have 10 points spare, assuming I don't need to make the broadside a 'vre

Yeah I thought you had 2 HHs purely for the templates to be honest anyways, they are really useful. I just thought your commander needed some extra staying power with a side dish of ass kickery.

Also the Broadsides SMS is not counted as Twin Linked. However the Plasmas are and MT only says it allows to fire 2 weapons systems, and a TL weapons counts as 1 system.
But I would have to really check over the Rules to make sure that second point is just.

As for the question, it says you must take one and I am sure that it only allows you to take 1 as well. Secondly, no you can upgrade the Broadside to a Team Leader for 5pts instead and take things from the Wargear list. That allows you to take a Hard Wired Multi Tracker.

84pts?

Well that depends what roll you want him to fill. Having a TL flamer and Burst cannon just wont do on one model, he will die before he does enough damager to protect himself from the charge. You probably want to give him long range with powerful punch.

You can give him A Missile Pod + Pulse rifle but you would be 2pts shy of a Multi Tracker.

Or Missle Pod + Burst cannon + HW Multi Tracker (you have 9pts left over on this so you can make either of the weapons TL)

If anything I would advise you cut a few 2 or 4 FWs to get him those extra points to give him what he needs.

No space marine players around you? With the flamer frenzy you have, drop pods and chewie fw I'd love to see that game

I would hardly call 1 TL flamer a Frenzy.
Although he did tap on the fact it is missing anti MEQ.

Actually, the only Space Marine player that I know isn't too incredible. I never have trouble with marines, even with this list I think I could take them.

In actuality, I normally play against orks and nids.

Well you have enough firepower to force wounds on them. I think you will have a big problem with TH/SS Termies though.

Also I run a lot of flamer and they just love the taste or tyranids lol.
