Generally, a friendly player that you know will be okay with your list being over a limit, but it's polite to *always* come under the limit.

Not near as lovely as Oblits. I'm converting my AoBR termies into Oblits. Are these the metal models? Still, termies can be termies, and I bet Abbadon hangs with them, yes?

Unite the squad's purpose and try for two of the same toy. Both flamers, both MGs, whichever.

turaku wrote:Chaos space marines Flamer Heavy bolter
As above. The HB is long range, stand still, whereas the flamer is an assault wep. I'd put the plasmagun from the other CSM unit with the HB, and place the flamer and MG together (though ideally they should be the same) in that first squad with the Pfist.

You do note they're not bloodletters, but simply 'lesser daemons', lacking a power wep.

A big disappointment to me ... after I'd bought 20 of the stupid things to enhance my CSM army.

Yeah, summoned lesser daemons (not Bloodletters) aren't really worth the points. I would say drop them for another obliterator and upgrade one group of CSM to Plague Marines. I think you should have enough points (or close) to do that.

thanks for the replies guys, but I can't really switch to plague marines because of my models, I can easily switch weapons between two regular CSM but it would make it hard with plague marines. perhaps there are some useful wargear upgrades I could take?

EDIT: also I was thinking of having a high firepower squad (pfist champion) and one anti-horde squad, with heavy bolter and flamer. Would this work or is switching to long-range/ close range better?

If you are interested in switching to plague marines, but only have regular marines, I would go with this http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=&pageMode=multi&categoryId=400029§ion=&pIndex=16&aId=1200005&start=17

Converted two squads of normal CSM into PM with it, and they turned out well.

Also, I would probably warn against Abaddon as an HQ at this point level. He costs more than two winged Daemon Princes, and only slightly lower than 2 DPs with psychic powers. Even ifyou don't want to jump on that Bandwagon, I would still recommend looking at the other choices.

Orkses is never beated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die so it don't count as beat. If we runs for it we don't die neither, so we can always come back for anuvver go, see!

ohh yeah, true, I've seen that article before actually, didn't think of that. even then I've already painted up my first squad, so I just added another obliterator and upgraded my squad to a champ with a power weapon
