The latest playtest version of Blackwater Gulch has just been released.

Blackwater Gulch is a skirmish miniatures game based on gang fights in the Wild West that my company is developing. The game’s playtest rules are available for free online.

Please visit our website at http://www.blackwatergulch.com for more information. In order to download the rules, you will have to sign up for our message board with a valid email address. After that, you will be able to download the rules in the playtest forum.

This new version contains lots of great enhancements brought about by many suggestions from current testers and the game is really turning out great. We expect to be fully releasing the game early next year with a line of highly detailed 28mm miniatures, and the basic rules will always be available for free online, along with high quality ebook versions and we're looking into direct-to-print versions for a nominal fee for the folks that really want a printed book.

Please visit our site for more info!

Thanks!

There is two things I hate on the internet.
One of them is forced sign up for download.

Sorry

I just do it that way so I can keep everything in the forum so it's all in one place and for discussions and then if folks take the time to sign up it means they really want to check it out. And I can easily mass email everyone that signed up to let em know when there's been a new version or something like that.

So it's a plus 1 to hit if a model runs and a plus 1 to hit if a model moves more than 6 inches. Is that the same plus 1 or two stacking plus 1s?
so for example I fire at a model that ran in its turn for 8" of movement, am I firing at a plus 2?
More questions to come as I think of them. Would you prefer these on your forum?

Thanks for pointing that out There is only 1 modifier, so the correct rule is anything moving over 6". I'll clarify it in the parts where it mentions running adds a bonus so folks don't get confused.

I changed it to anything over 6" to cover other things that naturally move faster, like horses.

Anyway, yeah you can just post on the game's forum instead of here. that way other testers can see it too and might chime in
