Here's my 500 point list for competitive play

Big Mek. KFF.

20 Boyz. Rokkit. Nob. Pk. Bp.

20 Boyz. Rokkit. Nob. Pk. Bp.

3 Big Gunz. (Kannons) 3 Ammo Runts. 2 extra grot crew.

I dont think this list looks bad at all. Maybe try taking out some big guns and throwing in some koptas?

I usually don't throw in Koptas til about 750-1k. I love em but since it's a small game we'll be playing mostly on a 4x4 table. I like the BS3 grots get + re-rolls for the ammo runts, and @ 36" range it isn't too shabby...

There's only as much opponent can take in 500 pts... I'd go with this:

No need for kombi rokkits (bs2, don't forget, rather take 3 more boyz)... And big gunz, meh... boyz boyz boyz do wonders on this pts...

List seems good to me. Personally I'd drop some Gunz for more Boyz, but your pick.

Looks solid and i don't think many people would look forward to facing that.

I think the lootas will do you more good than the big gunz -at least they have done so for me.

The rokkit in the boys squad doesn't seem like a good fit. You're going to take 1 BS2 shot at a tank with Str 8 - you would be better off running and getting closer to assault. The big shootas have more synergy with the other boys in the squad and give you some added shooting strength.

Would definitely go with Lootas over Big Gunz. Not many armies can deal with 45+ Ork Boyz at the 500 point level.
