thanks a lot but it was not what I was looking for.
eureka and empress miniatures produce the Taliban and I need Afghan National Army miniatures .
Mongrel miniatures site no longer exists.

You could go for Pakistani army miniatures that could work just fine.

For ANA you will need troops in Fritz style helmets with Soviet style weapons. As far as I know, these are not available in 28mm as yet. They are in 20mm, but so far nothing in 28mm.
Mongrel Miniatures are in production by Newline Designs.

I was a little tickled by the thread title and imagined guys in Washington looking at satellite data.
Your 28mm Afghan miniatures are hiding in caves, they only come out when they want to.
