the list is based from the wraithlords, it is troop heavy to maintain the flexibility the 10 dire avengers are for anti infantry (HQ included) purposes the farseer singing spear is with them so they can blade storm + doom guide .
the other dire avengers are there for objective holding the pathfinders are covering them making the enemy have to dislodge them with assault but shimmer sheild + defend would make this just as tough.

the guardians with spirit seer are with the 2nd farseer to reroll their 5+ cover for conceal or 4+ from fireing through wraithlords they also stop (wraithsight which has lost me a game before) the farseer also boosts the weapons of the wraithlords with their lower BS with guide.
the other guardians are for objective taking or defending as i find their numbers good enough to last in the open if the enemy is distracted with the wraiths and they can also defend as their platform and their guns aren't bad for the points
fire dragons are for anti tank crisis moments which is mainly drednough drop pods (alot where i play) also i put them in the non anti-tank WS as if my opponent was able to destroy it 90% of my anti tank would go aswell.

wraiths are for distraction and all round disterbence as between both they can attack any target (starcannon is a must as i know logan and deathwing players)

i equiped my farseer with runes of warding as psyhic powers and space wolves are dominant in my area

thanks for all advice in advance

Ok, firstly taking two farseers is useless. They are support characters and you don't need two. Drop one of them, and if you want a second HQ take an Autarch or Avatar

Dire avengers: Trust me when I say that Shimmershields are useless. This is personal experience. They only work in close combat, are expensive and your DA are dead anyway if they get into combat.
The dire sword is a better choice, but I still think that double cats is the best choice, especially with bladestorm.

I would downgrade your Bright lances on the WS to ML. More cost approporiate and tactically useful.

On your other wave serpent, use the points to upgrade your shuriken cannons to scatter lasers

Wraithlords... are not really worth it in this list. They'll have to be following your guardians for the spritseer, not the best idea. If you really want to keep them, make room for a small seer council for your farseer. The wraithlords follow them and can get into combat with them.

Otherwise, use the points elsewhere.

LoneLictor on thread about an ork choking the Emperor:

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

The shimmer shield is team is mainly a distraction and objective holding since they are always gonna be in cover so having a 4+ in ranged and 5+ in cc isn't bad thats the main reason i took them over a dual cata but i could always swap em out after a bit of testing since i have few models spare for parts

the farseers are one offense ( dire counter drop) one defense for the wraith-spear attack and a avatar couldn't help much since his fearless would only effect a portion of my force as its pretty split. a autarch could offer more however since his wargear could make any squad hit harder with a fusion gun etc

as for the brightlances i was debating switching them for EMLs as its more tactical on the other hand BL's seem to be shot more due to the Lance phobia some players have and the more their anti- tank is focused on the dire avengers (with a farseer which could make them more survivable) the more damage my fire dragons could cause on them ( and if i tank out the anti- tank the dragons are free to light up heavy squads or termies.

Also i had another thought if i was to free up the heavy choices from the wraiths i might take some dark reapers for Anti- marine/dark eldar long shotting and maybe a small squad of war walkers with a EML + BL or double EML

any ideas?

If you want to build a foot list around mass troops and Wraithlords, You really ought to get an Avatar. He gives you another monsterous creature, another melta gun, and grants all those conceal guardians fearless. for 155 points, hes far better than your first farseer (you'll need him to be fortuned to make him an awesomely tough bullet magnet).

You should also invest in Eldrad, as he can cast 2 fortunes per turn in addition to doom and possibly psychic attack powers like mindwar for pain boyz / sang priests, etc.

I would drop your bladestorming Avengers for more Fire Dragons. foot Eldar have some issues with anti transport, and bringing more dragons to the table will help you ensure that one of them gets to their target.

A list like this could really do well employing a squad of Harlequins with a shadow seer and kisses. Much of your fire power is short ranged, and harlies give you an excellent unit to help deal with enemies once they begin to approach your battle line.

Shimmer Shield + defend dire avengers on foot can be good provided you have strong counter charge to get them out of combat. since defend + fortune make them ace at taking charges, but awful at fighting. This is where units like Harlequins and the Avatar come in. Once a unit is "stuck" in the Avengers your cc hitters sweep in and bail em out.

Don't run starcannons on your lords, its just an awful weapon. Consider running Lance + Sword. This is a decent build in a foot list, because it can provide long range anti tank shots from afar, and still gives you the wraithsword to help contribute when the battle inevitably devolves into close combat due to the short range of your guardians.

Xom finds this thread hilarious!

My DAs manage to hold their own, and more often than not, win. The ShimShields helping.

Which is why a litte Doom support is required. That's how eldar work, with integrated support. Even without a Doomed target, DAs do well enough; consider BladeStorming, assaulting, Defend and Doom. It's pricey, but will whup any MEq unit.

Well, in my personal experience, nearly two years of eldar, is the PW/SS is just fine. The DireSword is the worst of the 3 options IMHO, and I cannot recall any other eldar players using one ... in 6 years of playing 40k.

I only see the DireSword's usefulness when you can tailor your list to beat Nids or Crisis Suits, or a nob heavy green-crew. But against bugs, even Doom won't help too much against those high Toughness MCs.
