My kan wall army is having a hell of a time getting around a space wolf army packed with jaws of the world. What would be the best way to avoid this attack while advancing forward? or am i simpy doomed to lose a ton of models until i can charge?

I edited your thread title to better reflect your question. FOr helpful suggestions, please read the sticky thread about posting in 40 Tactics:

JotWW can't hurt your Kans. They're not monstrous creatures, beasts, bikes, cavalry, or infantry.

So just charge forward and try not to line up your boyz too much.

I have played against JotWW a few times with my SM. Never really considered it a threat at all. Unless you are Nids there isn't much to fear.

Just do your best to speard out a little, and be aware of where his lines will be. Don't ever let him get a clear line that hits two or more special models (PK Nobs, bosspole or banner guy)

It is pretty easy to beat though people only see the no saves allowed thing all the time.
Just don't line any important models up.

This is the problem I have with the current trend of rules. How much does that spell cost? I seriously doubt its anywhere near 400pts. Its along the whole marbo thing being able to take out terminator squads with ease. Just annoys me that an ability can cause that much damage. Be powerful sure, but thats just OTT

Yeah it costs nothing apart from the fact you need a Rune Priest for it who can take 2 powers sooo 50 points.
If you look at it, it's not that good Iniative tests are more or less easy to pass if you have I3 or better and aren't a monstrous creature.

But can't you have only 1 JOTWW in your army? No 2 HQ choices can take the same psychic power or wargear, so couldn't you only have 1 JOTWW?

Combination is key

I can have 4 different priests with JotWW. Make sure 2nd power and weapon/equipment is different

Hmm that's interesting. I kind of want try a list with 4 priests all with grey hunters sqauds. 2 squads in drop pods, along with a dreadnought in a drop pod. the other 2 hunters in transports with long fangs in the back and wolf guard to beef up the hunter sqauds.

I think the issue the OP is having is that the JOTWW is sniping his Big Meks thus negating the Kustom Force Fields and letting the Long Fangs carry the day. The Easiest way to avoid this issue is getting rid of the Priests as soon as possible...now the question becomes, do the Rune Priest come in a Pod or in Rhinos...if in a Pod, then spread out and make him work for that line...if they come in a Rhino...stop the Rhino before it gets to your lines and you're golden...

Next issue is what you're taking...you should have 3-9 Deffkoptas and around 15-30 Lootas depending on the points levels...use these to put fear in your opponent, Deffkoptas will stop Rhinos in their Tracks and Lootas will Chew Long Fangs up...as well as Rhinos...so that's what I have to offer...other than that, continue on your merry orky way...

It can't. The other day I was testing a Wolves army and I tried to take out four Chimera's, before I realised I better check again. JOTWW cannot target vehicles.

But hey laser guns!

Also can't hit jump infantry, and never thought about it, but I don't think it can hit artilliary like the thunder cannon either. I might have to check on that.

I've seen a deffrolla take out 1245pts worth of drop pods, land raiders, dreadnoughts and marines.

So yeah you'll have to excuse me if I don't qq over dead greenskins.

JotWW is all good and powerful but it can't hit anything in a transport. If you can swing the points get a naked battlewagon to ride behind the Kan wall. Mebbe put a Deff rolla on it kuz those things are crazy (I play many games in fear of those accursed things). AV14 w/ a 4+ cover save is annoying to overcome and even w/ 2 or more units of long fangs the big mek can just repair the glances.
