Hey Dakka! I'm putting together a list. I want it to be versatile, medium sized (1500), and non-competitive. What do you think?
HQ Space Marine Captain- Terminator Armor, TH/SS
Elite Assault Terminators (7 Strong)- 3 LC, 4 TH/SS, Land Raider Crusader (with MM)
Troops Tactical Squad- Meltagun, MM, Sgt Combi-Flamer, Melta Bombs, Rhino
Troops Tactical Squad- Flamer, Missile Launcher, Sgt Power Weapon, Rhino

Like I said, this is just a for fun list, going for a well rounded list. I'm thinking LRC and the 2 rhinos up one flank, Vindis up the other, a two pronged pincer, trying to crush the opponent in the middle. I figure the Melta squad will stay together, but I will combat squad the one with the PW, so that the ML can fire independent of the rest of the squad (I was thinking of having both combat squads in the same rhino. Is that legal?). The only problems I see is a faster foe outflanking (not the reserve movement, I mean tactically) my vindicators and cutting them down with melta fire. What are your thoughts?

P.S. I haven't bought siege shields for my vindicators, but I want to model them with the shields (cause they look so BA). Would you guys allow that, as long as I play them as if they didn't have them?

No, as it'd be 2 units riding in the rhino, which is not permissible. Once you decide you're going to Combat Squad (before deployment) then each unit is treated as separate. You'd only get an IC into the rhino with 'em.

For looks and *not* on the Vins? Yeah, every guy will be okay with that.

When you do find points for them, only buy 'dozerblades' as a Siege Shield is over-the-top for what you need.
