Mainly just need to get this off my chest, as sadly, it's been getting on my pip for over a week.
It's a scene in Doctor Who, when The Doctor, The Doctordonna, and that other Human Doctor type are using the Dalek's own technology to send back the stolen planets, and bugger up the Dalek's latest masterplan. Now, it's not the hijacking of the Dalek's own system, that I'm fine with (unlike Independence Day, and the Mac Virus..grumble). It's well established that the Time Lords were far more advanced than the Dalek's. No. Of all things, it's the bloody user interface. They are round the console, flicking switches, pressing keys, and twiiddling knobs (oooer!). Yes, that's right, a race hardly noted for their hands (plungers yes, digits and hands and that, no) would have any kind of keyboard. Previous shows have shown that the Dalek's plungers are used to interact with their computers and that. SO WHY THE BLOODY KEYS!
Sure, Davros has a hand (just the one mind) but the position of the controls are hardly conducive to being in a sodding wheelchair!
Anyone else irked by silliness in Sci-Fi?
