1998 Points - Any ideas for improvement? I decided that a "horde" footslogging army with minimal armour could be quite effective. Id appreciate any feedback!

i think at 2000 points, a lone LRC is going to get shot up quickly, i assume the terminators are riding in it?

i would give the assault sqauds melta guns instead of plasma pistols and bombs.. that way they can crack a tank and then assault anything that happened to be inside, instead of having to assault tanks to destroy them with the bombs.

another thing, if you are running those big units up on foot, give them crusader seals.

i would also consider at least 1 TH/SS in the terminator squad, if they get into combat with a dread, they cant hurt it and its always nice to have some instant death magic for any ICs

You can't give an assault squad melta guns......

Also, the Marshal + the EC both have seals, and each will be leading one of the larger squads. If one model has them, the whole unit benefits.

Swapping 2 LCs for TH/SS could work though.

I'd be running with a Chaplain in termie armor with dual LC, too, but at this point you'd have to to re-write a squad or two (or even remove a squad).

I figured it was more worthwhile running the Marshall than the Chaplain to give the army the LD buff. I just couldnt find the points for the chaplain

I might make a few changes although not many as it seem pretty god for a foot sloggin list, although with a single vehicel it is going to get even more attention than it normally would, might be better off just going all in on the foot troops as an option.

I would drop a few Neophytes to pick up some poitns as needed and then I would change the Marshal a bit to make him a bit more survivable and give him a bit more kick. I would add two TH/SS to the Terminators and add a Storm Shield to the PF in one of the Assault Squads. The list would then look like this:

HQ Marshal @ 175 pts
Crusader Seals; Melta Bombs; Lightning Claw x2; Artificer Armor; Iron Halo; Terminator Honors
Emperor's Champion @ 140 pts Accept Any Challenge, No Matter The Odds

TroopsCrusader Squad @ 205 pts - 10 Crusaders w/Bolt Pistol x9; Close Combat Weapon x8; Meltagun; Power Fist; 2 Neophytes w/Bolt Pistol x2; Close Combat Weapon x2
Crusader Squad @ 215 pts - 10 Crusaders w/Bolt Pistol x9; Close Combat Weapon x8; Meltagun; Power Fist; 3 Neophytes w/Bolt Pistol x3; Close Combat Weapon x3
Crusader Squad @ 215 pts - 10 Crusaders w/Bolt Pistol x9; Close Combat Weapon x8; Meltagun; Power Fist; 3 Neophytes w/Bolt Pistol x3; Close Combat Weapon x3

EliteSword Brethren Terminator Assault Squad @ 344 pts - 8 Terminators w/Lightning Claws (pair) x6; Thunder Hammer & Storm Shield x2; Furious Charge

Fast Attack Black Templars Assault Squad @ 220 pts – 8 Assault Marines w/Bolt Pistol x5; Close Combat Weapon x7; Frag Grenades; Jump Packs; Melta Bombs; Plasma Pistol x2; Storm Shield x1; Power Fist
Black Templars Assault Squad @ 217 pts - 8 Assault Marines w/Bolt Pistol x6; Close Combat Weapon x7; Frag Grenades; Jump Packs; Melta Bombs; Plasma Pistol x2; Power Fist

Heavy Support Land Raider Crusader @ 268 pts - w/Extra Armor; Frag Assault Launchers; Multi-Melta; Smoke Launchers; Twin Linked Assault Cannon; 2x Hurricane Bolters; Power of the Machine Spirit

If I was going to go all infantry I would drop the Land Raider Crusader and pick up the following: Sword Brethren Terminator Squad @ 255 pts – 5 Terminators w/Power Fist x5; Storm Bolter x3; Assault Cannon x2; Tank Hunters.

Then I would add 2 more Storm Shields to each of the Assault Squads, giving one two of them and the other three, making both squads alittle tougher to get rid of. The Terminators with Tank Hunter and the Assault Cannons can kill anything up close and either infantry or lighter armor at a distance. The Terminators and buffed Assault Squads may last longer than the Land Raider depending on who you are facing, and generally speaking if you go mostly infantyr except for a vehicle or even two, you are just asking for your vehicles to die early even with an AV of 14.

I don't think the lone LRC is going to last very long, and it may not be worth its weight in oints at the end of the day. I think the points could be better used on a chaplain, termies, or another crusader squad.
