So, I searched for a thread like this, but found nothing. The best I could find was a spam post about a costume shop. If it turns out I was wrong, please feel free to lock or delete the thread.

That said, what will you be going as for Halloween this year, if your dressing up at all?

Mine is a skeleton mask with a mohawk:

Thrown on my leather jacket, some biker boots, and jeans, and I got me a ghost rider like thing thats great for scaring the crap out of anybody that comes onto my porch.

So, whats everyone wearing?

I'm going out with my sister-in-law and family, so we're following a theme.

18-mon Nephew is a Dragon
Bro-in-law is the Dragon's Keeper
7-year old Niece is a good Witch
Sis-in-law is a Lady in Waiting

So... I'm a Fairy Godmother (which is a stretch, but I gotta work with what I've got!)

I'm surprised you're not going as a viking or black metal artist.

In honor of Dakka's Official Frazzled Day on 10/31, I believe I should dress up as this:

I'll go door to door screaming at people, "Wherz mah chickin'!" until they throw food in my KFC bucket or the fuzz come.

Sadly Im not dressing up. But I used to dress up as LeatherFace for years. I bought like 10 different masks one year, and chopped them up then stiched them all together into a homemade LeatherFace mask. It was actually rather creepy. I wish I still had it.

Actually, I was hoping someone could recommend a good costume website. I need to find an alligator costume, for my family's theme. (Mom is going as Wendy, Stepdad as Captain Hook, little sister as Tinkerbell and Little brother as Peter Pan. I'm stuck being the alligator.)

Hagrid. I don't even particularly like Harry Potter (though I have been enjoying the films) but think I can pull the look off fairly easily so Hagrid is what I went with this year.

Perhaps I'm failing to understand the joke. An explanation would be greatly appreciated.

What $$$ range?

Ebay has a ton of costumes, by the way. Pick a price range and go to town.

Some ship from Asia, so be sure to ask about how long shipping will take. You only have 10 days.

My roommates and I (and a couple other close friends) are going to dress up as green plastic army men. About 10 of us in total. Should be pretty sweet. The irony? only one of us is in the Army, the rest are all Navy/Air Force, lol.

No Halloween in France...

There was an attempt about ten years ago to introduce halloween but guess what? After three years some fething a s claimed it was a purely commercial event and that it sucked. And as always in France, this kind of bu it spreaded in the mind of more and more people...until Halloween disapeared almost totally...Quite curiously, nobody ever mentionned the same about Valentine's day which is far more mercantile and, moreover, makes single people sad (I hate Valentine's day!)

That's why sometimes (more and more often -sadly-) I hate being French...it sucks.
