I have a bunch of painted blood angels and I want to do a wash with black so their armor shows the details to it better.

GW's Badab Black wash is a good time! Give them a bath and maybe touch up some of the highlights after the washing.

Thin the ink/wash you use... a little black goes a long way and if it's not the level of pop you want, you can add another thin wash layer. Too much can muddle the paint scheme.

Badab Black or Devlan Mud might be what you need. Or you could create your own wash, by deluding black paint with water and flow improver.
