Usual Deployment:
9 man Pulse rifle team takes up position on home objective, with gun drone bubble wrap.
9 man carbine team waits in reserve to roll onto home objective in late game if first unit is destroyed.
12 man rifle team deploys on a flank ready to embark in Pathfinders' devilfish. this is the offensive flank.
Pathfinders deploy in cover along a flank. this is the sacrificial flank. Piranha moves to support them/provide cover.
helios crisis team with attendant shas'el deploys in reserve. the arrive via deepstrike to support FoF attack in late game or to react to any deepstriking TEQ nasties.
fireknife crisis team with attendant shas'el deploys behind my hammerheads, out of sight. they use the tanks as mobile cover.
Broadsides get best firing position available, preferably in cover, or behind 9 man rifle team.
Stealth suits are there to bring the army up to 2000. a markerlight-toting speedbump.

Okay, I like your Crisis Battlesuits. The configurations look fine.
I don't like stealth suits, but if you want to keep them, I would give the team leader a MT so he can use the Marker Light and Burst Cannon, I would also take of the target lock.
I would make all your FWs have Pulse-Rifles. Pulse rifles are way better than carbines for two reasons. One, you have to be close to an enemy to use a carbine. That is bad, most armies will enjoy eating you in assault. The second reason is that Pulse Rifles have rapid fire. That means roughly in the pulse carbine range, you can have twice as many shots with a pulse rifle.
If you can, I would put Target Locks on your Hammerheads, it is really nice to be able to shoot different targets with guns of completely different purpose.
That's all.

yeah, i would prefer to take more XV8's, but as i said, i don't have any more yet :(
Target Locks are a must on Hammerheads. must of forgot.
Pulse carbines are terrible yes, but i went through a phase right before this codex came out hoping they'd be made assault 2. fail.

What kind of success have you had with the GD squad? I have never had much use for them... if they were cheaper they may make a good wall, but as it stands I have regretted the points spent every time I've tried taking them.
And +1 on Rifles over Carbines.

yep, GD's are very expensive for what they are.
However, i have found these bad boys to be just about the most irritating units i have in my arsenal.
They are great for tying up those pesky 2 assault marines you didn't manage to kill before they got too close, or a lone chaplain on one wound, etc.
Also, watching your opponent's face as you deepstrike them behind his prized Battletank and blow it up spectacularly is well worth the points outlay!!! Hell, he might even divert some resources to shooting/assaulting the damn things he's so mad... and that's definitely to the greater good!
Automatically Appended Next Post: oh. i am looking to replace them with kroot tho once i get hold of some models - they are much better speedbumps i think.

I totally disagree. Expensive? A GEq Jump Troop for GEq cost? Nah.

Now, here, I'm with ya!
Basilisks, LeMan Russes, all for a measily ~50 point unit, which then goes about harassing the GEq troops in that back line.
I only use them when I've had to alter a list at the last minute, "Dude, I don't have 1850. Maybe 1350?" Which I then trim down and find some odd space of 60 or so and quickly dump in the frisbees.
