I will be playing my first game with my goblins against my friend who is running daemons. I plan on bringing 2 units of goblins with 3 fanatics in each. I plan on letting him charge me as my units will have bows. How does this work? He charges I take a fear test and if I pass, he stops 8 inches away and I release my fanatics, 1 goes through him do he taked D6 S5 hits, the other 2 I roll a 2 and a 3 and he finishes the charge and takes D6 S5 hits, if he ends the turn on top of the 2 fanatics are they moved 1inch beyond or do they die and he takes another D6 S5 hits in their death throws? Also since I am using NG Archers can they still stand and shoot even as a charge reaction even if the fanatics are in their line of sight, does he get cover saves?

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Fear does not make you run. Just lowers the WS to 1 if you fail the LD check.

Stand and shoot is resolved before the attacker is moved and before the fanatics are released.

Thanks for the info. What about if I roll low on the roll or do this:

I dont see a restiction on how or where the goblins are released. That way they will take hits on the charge and more hits as they Fanatics go into their Death Throws.

That is fine, assuming your roll gets them in the right place....

You want to low with fanatics, you want the death throws. You pick what point your fanatic comes out of your unit, you then nominate the direction. Then you roll. People using orc and gobo's due what your suggesting all the time. Fanatics are good, they just tend to hit someone... whether its yours or your opponents is the question.
