Lookin to make a nob biker army. My current list runs two complex squads of 7 each. It has been suggested by a friend or two that two units of nob bikers seems like a point sink and to only take one. I however feel that two units along with some wagons pose quite an awesome threat to my opponent. So the question is one unit or two?

Personally i think that spending that many points on nob bikers is totally worth it. There is no way in hell that they aren't going to get there points back or even 2x over. From your enemies point of view he has to deal with 2 7man super squads (accompanied by warbosses im sure) instead of just one with battlewagons. target saturation is the key to victory in most cases

1 warboss...Gonna take a big mek w/KFF to ride along in the waggons. I figured the obscure sv would make the waggons as scary/hard to kill as the bikers.

I've actually been toying with the idea for an almost PURE nob biker army...2 10 man squads + 1 warboss in each, with a couple points left for 2 buzzsaw koptas. No idea if it's competitive, but would sure be funny to only drop a total of 24 models down as an ork player and seeing your opponent's expression.

EDIT: To answer your question, two squads of 7 is fine, only thing I would worry is the unit w/o the warboss will have LD7 and be vulnerable to tank shocks.

there is no such thing as too many nob bikers.... my 9+warboss unit just EATS armys. they realy are the single best and most reliable unit in my army. i run a mix of big choppas and PK (diversified with painboy, banner etc). been toying around with grabbing 2 full units, plus normall bikers for fun. the mek is kind of lost in that army, since your bikes always get 4+ cover anyway, and the wagon cant keep pace and be much more then a transport. (wich at that point take more units and go with trukks, but thats just me)

i would run two units, its brutal. but as mentioned above, if you run two nob bikers, you will need two warbosses. if they were tank shocked and kited off the tabled, you would be pissed!!! and youd probably lose the game.

The deffrollas are why id go with the wagons. They decimate infantry and stand a chance against LR's.

As a supporter of White Scars space marines I have to agree that there is no such thing as "too many bikes." I say keep adding them on the list until you run out of points or cash for new models, whichever comes first. I'm not too familiar with orks, so it's up to you to make sure you have the right equipment on these guys. Looks like a good mix of big choppas and power klaws should do it, as DarthSpader suggested.

Post some pictures of these guys when you get them together; I'd love to see a ton of ork bikes making up the majority of their force.

Like most biker gangs, the more bikers the more badass you are!
