Ok so finally got my test-nids (test Tyranids). But after painting them as Rai-Nids (Rainbow Tyranids) I felt that the Bleach Bone by itself, without washes, would do for my colour scheme. However I do not have a clue as to what colour would go well with it, bear in mind im not after a codex paint scheme, just something simple.

So yea post colours you think would go well with bleached bone over a white basecoat.

Thanks for the help

Note: I may be encorporating one of the codex colour schemes of the weapons, i quite liked the Black and, what looked, gold colours.

Edit: May post the Rai-Nids if requested lol.

Don't know if it'd work for nids, but the bone on my marines look rather nice with a deep red.

No pity!
No remorse!
No fear!

The difficulty with nids is that they are all organic so they would look strange with certain colour mixes. Over a full bleach bone coating, I would probably try using inks for washes (I know you said the scheme would do without them, but they would help the natural feel IMO). See how a purple and red wash would go (one on the carapace, one on the exoskeleton), then use a colour that would stand out for the eyes and tounge like warlock purple, hawk turquoise, or dark anges green.

Bleached bone is a neutral. It will pretty much work with anything. I'm partial to purples and blues.

painted: 12 dryads,9 glade guard,2 glade guard scouts.
assembled but unpainted: 2 glade guard and the lord's bowman, 8 glade guard scouts, sexy elf lord
in the box: , 8 glade riders, , one female spellsinger, Orion, Ariel, the faerie queen. SOB immolator, 15 sisters.

Deep reds look awesome with it. Greens also.

Ah right i see, as i expected alot of colours go well but on my test-nids some of them looked a bit out of place. I did like the liche puprle however it came quite close to looking codexy, but after deciding to redo my Chaos army as one of the codex coloiurs that doesnt bother me as much now.

Thanks for the replies though
